SUMMARY: This position is responsible for all aspects of plant maintenance coordination including leading and directing maintenance technicians.  Foster a well-trained and motivated staff. Assist the Maintenance Manager to direct and coordinate maintenance policies and procedures while maintaining a safe and clean environment.  Manage and oversee the preventative maintenance and repairs of equipment.  Quickly assess problems to minimize downtime of production.  Must possess knowledge of SQF Quality Management policies and procedures along with GMP practices to ensure all maintenance employees understand and follow the company policies and procedures.

REQUIREMENTS:  Must have the ability and experience to: lead, direct, evaluate and train a staff of 15 maintenance technicians; measure, monitor and reduce machine downtime; diagnose basic electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, plumbing, and electronic (PLC) problems and direct/assist with repairs; promote a ‘Safety First’ culture amongst staff; and, develop and maintain an effective preventative maintenance program for equipment and plant.  

Education:  Associates degree or college program certificate; or 2+ years related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in a food manufacturing environment.

Experience: 2 years of experience as a maintenance lead or supervisor with direct reports.  Experience in directing, evaluating and training maintenance technicians.

Communication Skills: Must be able to speak clearly, listen and understand ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.  Ability to express ideas and concepts clearly in writing and understand the same.  

Computer Skills:  Must have basic PLC experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook at the intermediate level.  Experience with SAP a plus.

You will be working at the new Burrell Rapid Access Unit in Independence, Missouri, which provides the following community services:

• A 23-hour assessment, observation, stabilization, and treatment service for adults with an acute psychiatric and/or substance use disorder;
• 24/7 staffing by a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, nurses, licensed mental health professionals, mental health technicians, peer support specialists, and support staff.
• Care coordination and integration with public health officials and health system partners for appropriate follow-up care in the community.

About the Behavioral Crisis Center Technician Role:

• Provide general direction for all clients. 
• Implement guidelines, procedures and program rules accurately and consistently.
• Provide direction to clients in maintaining their living and sleeping areas in a neat and sanitary manner.
• Encourage individuals to develop positive relationships within the program, with both staff and other clients.
• Provide supervision, as needed, during mealtime to ensure clients have a safe and sanitary eating area and meals are carried out in an orderly fashion.
• Complete appropriate paperwork for admissions, transfers and/or discharge.
• Responsible for documenting treatment plan interventions, participating in daily activities.
• Develop and write treatment plans.

What you can expect:

• Direct Patient Care. Spend the majority of your day in direct one-on-one patient care to provide safe, comfortable and hygienic dialysis treatment. Our PCTs care for up to 4 patients at a time.
• Technician Duties. To monitor patients before, during and after dialysis treatment including measuring and recording stats, patient observations, and hemodialysis machine setup. Please note you will have exposure to blood and needles.
• Continuous Improvement: We are consistently looking for ways to improve processes for our patients and teammates as we aim to build the greatest health care community the world has ever seen.
• Building long-term relationships with your patients who are suffering from end stage renal disease and are receiving treatment on average 3 times/week. You will also be responsible for educating patients on Kidney Dialysis related topics.
• Team. Cross functional team of clinicians including technicians, nurses, dietitians, social workers and leadership. PCTs work under the supervision of a RN.

Some details about this position:

• Training may take place in a nearby clinic with teammates other than your assigned home clinic.
• Hours of work may vary during the training period; however, you will typically be working between 32-40 hours per week.
• There is potential to float to other nearby clinics during and after your training
• You must have a flexible schedule and be able to work opening shifts, closing shifts, rotated Saturdays, and holidays.  The schedule is made at least 1 month in advance.

Requirements:

• True desire to enter the health care field & care for other people in need
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be comfortable handling blood and needles
• Must be comfortable mixing acid or bicarb
• Flexibility and availability to work mornings, evenings, rotated Saturdays and some holidays.
• Physical and mental ability to work long hours (some shifts are 12+ hours) on your feet.
• Willingness to train and work across multiple clinics within the territory as needed.
• Health care experience is DESIRED not required: BONENT Certified, Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or Phlebotomy certification.
