ABOUT SUNSHINE SUGAR
Our Australian ownership is a proud partnership between the grower-owned NSW Sugar Milling Co-operative and the Australian family-owned business, Manildra Group.
The NSW Sugar Milling Co-operative is comprised of some 500 cane farming families in the Northern Rivers region of the state. The Manildra Group is an international agribusiness owned and operated by the Honan family in NSW.
Sunshine Sugar owns and operates sugar mills at Harwood, Broadwater and Condong and a refinery co-located at Harwood.
WHAT WE NEED:
Maintenance Fitter
About the Role:
• You will be a key member of a site maintenance team and undertake a wide range of duties.
• During the crushing season: the Mill operates on a continuous 24x7 basis, and your primary focus will be to undertake breakdown and running repairs to a wide range pf equipment including motor pumps, valves, gearboxes, turbines, vessels, pipelines and conveyor lines.
• During the non-crushing season: the Mill does not operate, and you will be involved in the major annual plant overhaul and upgrade which covers a range of heavy-duty plant and equipment. This includes shredder, milling, clarification, evaporation, vacuum pan, centrifugal and materials handling plant and equipment.
Key Position Requirements:
• Relevant breakdown, maintenance and installation mechanical fitting experience associated with a heavy industrial or manufacturing processing operation.
• Demonstrated skills with maintaining and repairing a wide range of equipment such as motors, gearboxes, turbines, pumps, valves and conveyor lines
• Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Well-developed communication and teamwork skills, including the ability to liaise and work cooperatively with a wide range of people across the workplace
• Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to site Workplace
• Health & Safety requirements and processes
• Relevant Mechanical Trade qualifications.

Salary Expectation: $70,000 to $80,000 p.a.
