Task & Responsibilities Strategic and Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of building maintenance and facility management services, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards and in line with client expectations. Contractor Management: Manage tenders and supervise the work of contractors across various services, including maintenance, plumbing, electrical power & data, rubbish removal, and other essential building services. Preventative and Reactive Maintenance: Plan and implement both preventative and reactive maintenance schedules, ensuring minimal disruption to client operations. Office Fit-Outs and Modifications: Coordinate office fit-outs, including new tenancies or alterations to existing spaces, and manage the end-of-lease strip-out and make-good processes. Project Management: Lead and manage various building projects, from design and installation of joinery to comprehensive office refurbishments and space planning. Compliance and Safety: Ensure that all facilities comply with health and safety regulations and legislation, implementing best practices to create a safe working environment. Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships through effective communication and problem-solving. Financial Management: Calculate and compare costs for required facilities management services, ensuring cost-efficiency without compromising on quality or service standards. Resource Allocation: Plan and allocate resources effectively, ensuring that all facilities and services are appropriately staffed and equipped to meet operational demands. Qualification & Experience Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in facilities management or a related field, preferably within the corporate maintenance or building services industry. Education: A qualification equivalent to an Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Diploma or higher in Facilities Management, Asset Management, or Building Services Management is highly desirable. Skills: Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously; proficiency in facilities management software and tools. Knowledge: In-depth understanding of building maintenance, project management, and contractor supervision; familiarity with health and safety regulations and compliance requirements.
