What you’ll be doing as a Trunk Sewer Technician
This is a safety-focused role and will require you to work closely with your team members.

Day to day you will be maintaining and operating the sewer network and its associated assets whilst carrying out basic mechanical maintenance and fault finding. The work involves confined space access working in some of London’s most challenging Subterranean areas.

What should you bring to the role?

- Complete planned, emergency and defect maintenance of the trunk sewer network. Previous experience in maintenance would be advantageous and in particular mechanical bias, with previous qualifications desirable but not essential.
- Complete manual handling activities to operate large mechanical assets and grounds maintenance; therefore, you must be physically fit and prepared to work in a challenging environment daily.
- Have a proactive approach to your work and demonstrate that you can work positively and effectively within a team environment.
- You will need to be a keen and motivated team member, able to demonstrate initiative and a flexible approach to work.
- A valid UK driving licence is required, and HGV is preferable, but training will be provided for this as required.
- Willing to work on a shift pattern, with 1 week of nights in 5 and complete an out-of-hours call-out rota.

- Changing Ballast
- BMS System - Monitor (i.e. Hot & cold)
- Carry out all aspects of M&E/Fabric maintenance
- Maintain and update Log books
- Plumbing - Unblocking toilets
- Pumps, motors

Requirements

- Electrically qualified - City & Guilds Level 3
- City & Guilds - 18th Edition
- Must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates
- A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
- Multi-skilled
- Good communication skills
- Client Facing
