• Full-time, long-term role running for the rest of the academic year

This secondary school’s science curriculum is carefully designed and delivered to ensure all students develop scientific knowledge and conceptual understanding through the specific disciplines of biology, chemistry and physics. A key factor of this is the development of practical skills within science.
As a Graduate Science Technician, you will be tasked with delivering essential scientific services and support within school laboratory settings. The role involves the setting up and putting away of laboratory equipment for school lessons across Physics, Chemistry and Biology. You will work under the Senior Science Technician who will provide support and guidance throughout the day. It is important that you follow health and safety procedures that the school has in place for use of lab equipment.
As part of the role, you may also be asked to work as a Teaching Assistant during lab lessons, providing support to students conducting practical experiments and ensuring they have full understanding of what they are trying to achieve.
This school is located in Liverpool, ten-minutes north of the city centre easily commutable by car or public transport. It is a Monday-Friday role, working school hours which are 8.30am – 3.45pm.
