A Vacancy at St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
We are looking for an exceptional Chief Facilities, Infrastructure and Environment Officer to lead the vision for GESH.
AcrossSt George’s, Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals and Health Group (GESH), our vision is clear and powerful – we will offer outstanding care, together. Working as a Group gives us the opportunity to think about the role we’ll play in our local communities and across the wider NHS. We are better able to address challenges and ultimately create a more united and aligned voice within south west London. Our Group Chief Facilities, Infrastructure and Environment Officer (GCFIEO) will be fundamental to this goal by creating a safe, effective and healthy estate and ensure the right results for the people that matter most – our patients and their families. Against this landscape, there is no better time to join GESH.
The GCFIEO sits on the Group Executive team and has responsibility for ensuring a strategic approach to all Estates and Facilities management across GESH. You will have overall responsibility and accountability for the Group’s entire estate portfolio, ensuring the delivery of affordable services, regulatory compliance and a common effective approach to capital projects. You would oversee and manage day-to-day the Estates and Facilities functions across the Group, providing senior leadership and expertise to the function and carrying corporate responsibility and accountability for the services.
The GCFIEO will be expected to effectively manage diverse stakeholder interests and demonstrate a commitment to providing exceptional non-clinical services across the Group. They will also be able to make effective and efficient use of sustainable resources to support the GESH vision, whilst championing a safe working environment. The successful candidate will have significant senior management experience in an NHS acute Trust. Additionally, they will have extensive experience of leading a complex, large service / organisation, with a demonstrable track record of sound operational management.
We strongly encourage applications from all sections of the community, particularly from under-represented groups, including disabled people and members of our black, Asian and minority ethnic communities to improve the diversity of experience within our senior leadership team.
A thriving Foundation Trust at the heart of an integrated healthcare system. One that delivers improved patient care at a community, hospital and specialist setting, supported by a unique and nationally recognised programme of research, education and employee engagement. We expect all our staff to share the values that are important to the Trust, being Excellent, Kind, Responsible & Respectful, and behave in a way that reflects these.
