This is a new and exciting role within Roundabout due to property portfolio growth that will enable us to accommodate and support an increasing number of young people. The role will give the successful candidate the opportunity to develop maintenance and health and safety standards across the organisation and oversee all property and maintenance related provision.

You will be responsible for setting and maintaining the standards of properties in line with relevant legislation and contract requirements, to ensure that young people are provided with safe and well-maintained accommodation to enable them to go on to live independently.

You will be responsible for ensuring reporting and completion of repairs are carried out promptly and efficiently by the maintenance team while ensuring that internal systems and processes are implemented and adhered to.

You will be responsible for managing the Maintenance Service to include the line management of the maintenance team and housekeeping staff and to lead on Health and Safety across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise cleaning teams across 10 sites, ensuring high standards of cleanliness.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Facilities Supervisor or Cleaning Supervisor.

Your new role

Reporting to the Property Assets Manager, you will have responsibility for the delivery of a comprehensive capital investment and housing stock programme to support the objectives of the Asset Management Strategy.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this position, you must possess:A relevant qualification in Building/Construction related subject or equivalent professional qualification with a minimum of 3 years post qualification relevant experience to include project/contract management.

If you do not possess a qualification, you should have a minimum of 5 years relevant experience to include project/contract management.

Computer Literacy: A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, including, Word, Excel and Outlook.

What will you do?

* Oversee completion of daily reactive work orders
* Manage all aspects of the delivery of all planned maintenance
* Close liaison with all stakeholders to agree work dates
* Keep track of and schedule the annual compliance register

A client within the Public Sector based in South Yorkshire is currently recruiting for a Repairs and Maintenance Team Leader to join their electrical team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a housing environment.

The Role

Key purpose of the role is to effectively supervise, plan, organise and deploy multi trade employees on repairs and maintenance, programmed and minor capital works in line with service and client expectations to the required standards.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Ensure the cost-effective allocation and deployment of sub-contractors and other resources to deliver the service to agreed standards and targets
• Supervise resources including use of materials, plant, transport, and in line with the service policies and procedures and operating model
• In collaboration with the Co-ordinators, plan all work activities maintaining a continuity of work for operational resources to achieve specified timescales and standards in line with operational procedure

The Candidate

To be considered for this role you will require a relevant trade/craft qualification to a minimum of

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent as well as the willingness to undertake a relevant management or Building Construction or Surveying NVQ related training or qualifications.

• Ability to effectively supervise employees and other resources in an operational construction, repairs or maintenance environment

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £21 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35.
