My client are a large facilities service provider who are currently managing and maintaining a large R&D site within the Abingdon area.. They are currently looking for an experienced facilities PM / Small works PM to join an existing team on site. This role will me managing all new projects , delivering reactive and life cycle projects in line with clients requests and agreed programmes.

Key Responsibilities will include:

• Preparing specifications and drawings for works to meet the customer's requirements
• Obtaining quotes from contractors, ensuring all budgets and fees are agreed
• Ensure all work is in line with CDM/Planning/Building Control regulations
• Obtaining Landlords Consent in advance of works, engaging with architects and planners etc.
• Manage project budgets and validate/approve contractors and consultants invoices
• Ensuring minimum disruption during the works, ensuring all risk assessments and method statements are in place and ongoing Health and Safety is managed correctly,
• Communicating effectively with colleagues and contractors, regular travel and overnight stays.

Skills required include:

• Proven experience of project management on a variety of property projects.
• Evidence of having effectively delivered projects on time and within budget.
• Good knowledge of Building Regulations/Planning/CDM.
• Ability to plan and manage own workload to achieve deadlines.
• I.T. literate and proficient on Microsoft Office packages including Microsoft Vision.
• Ideally your experience will be from a Facilities Management, Surveying or Construction Project Management background, and be used to dealing with a number of projects simultaneously.
• HNC/HND in an appropriate discipline
• IOSH Managing Safely, Trade or Building Services Design qualifications
• NVQ level 3 Management or equivalent. Clean Current Full UK Driving Licence

Catch 22 are working with a leisure facilities company who have multiple clubs spread across London. Due to a recent restructure within the facilities team they are looking for an experienced maintenance manager to join their team.

Working as part of a team, the successful applicant will be accountable for providing a well maintained, safe, secure, clean, compliant and efficient environment, delivering high quality planned and reactive maintenance across all sites in London.

Role responsibilities:

• Adhere to daily & weekly checks to ensure smooth operation of site, keeping up to date & accurate records.
• Follow the Planned Preventative Maintenance schedule; working as part of the team to deliver effectively, on time & within budget and manage /lead the team.
• Maintain the basement, plant rooms, roof and fire exits to company standards and ensure all plant and equipment is maintained.
• Proactively anticipate potential safety hazards and be prepared to undertake any emergency actions required.
• Ensure all work carried out is done so within the H&S requirements.
• Work as part of the wider club team, demonstrating a professional & courteous manner to members, assisting with queries they may have.
• Work as part of the club Management team to share ideas & improve club operation.
• Build an upkeep long term relationships with contractors and service providers
• Ensure maintenance logs / reports are fully updated
• Oversee equipment stock and place orders for new supplies when necessary.
• Operate with a sense of urgency to correct issues that impact our member experience.
• Performance management of the team, including recruitment, training, development and daily supervision to maximise efficient & productivity

What qualifications, skills and experience does a maintenance manager need?

• A technical Level 2 qualification of City & Guilds equivalent or higher.
• Relevant technical experience in a working environment.
• Ability to keep track of and report on activity
• Friendly & approachable nature with great communication skills.
• Demonstrate a high mechanical aptitude for fitness equipment, electrical, and/or mechanical systems, plumbing and computer-controlled equipment

• Manage the operation of complex healthcare engineering systems, assisting with Preventative Planned Maintenance activities.
• Handling Risk assessments and ensuring compliance is maintained.

• Work flexible hours and able to be on call for escalation.

Ideal Candidate Experience;

• Have a background within a facilities management environment (Essential)
• Have strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, ideally with relevant qualifications such as IOSH/NEBOSH.
• Ability to produce and understand detailed reports.
• Hold relevant technical qualifications within Building services e.g HND/HNC Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering (Preferred but not essential)
• Knowledge of CDM regulations.
• Previous roles could include Maintenance Manager, Hard Services Manager, Clerks of Works, Technical Manager, Contract Manager.
• Hold previous experience working within a large commercial building, ideally within healthcare environment and knowledge of BMS systems (Preferred but not essential)
