Your Role and Impact

£80,000 - £85,000 + 11% bonus

Our client is a leading company that is dedicated to supporting customers that are supplied into a range of industries, their product quality is recognised as second to none. Due to growth and expansion into various export markets they are looking for a Regional Maintenance Manager to join their close-knit team, ideally be based around Worcester or somewhere in the Midlands. You will have responsibility for a number of manufacturing sites across the UK, Ireland and some responsibility for Israel

What type of person are we looking for? First and foremost, we are looking for somebody who has experience in playing an active and integral role managing engineering teams. Working alongside the Engineering Manager, the Regional Maintenance Manager is to be a key member of the leadership team

Key Skills & Experience

Degree or qualified through significant engineering or business experience.

High capabilities of data analyzing to identify and drive through process improvements

Strong technical knowledge within the chemical, process, petrochemical or gas industry

Your new company
You will be working at HM Prison Long Lartin for a facilities management and maintenance company. This company ensures that all maintenance projects throughout the prison are completed to a high standard.

Your new role

• Ensure that all Hazards are identified and that risk is reduced
• Ensure that all staff are aware of and comply with the Health and Safety Policy
• Achieve and maintain Statutory and Mandatory Compliance
• Ensure all corporate policies and procedures are implemented and complied with.
• Carry out audits and spot checks to confirm service delivery by both direct employees and sub-contractors is of the required quality.
• Carry out first line management duties with staff including disciplinary and employment processes.
• To oversee the day to day operation and strategic management of the Estate / building on behalf of the Client.
• Ensure that all hazards are identified and that suitable and sufficient risk assessments are completed to reduce or eliminate risk
• Ensure all employees have the correct resources to undertake their roles eg PPE, tools, etc.
• Provide regular performance feedback to team via monthly one to one meetings.
• Agree personal development plans with all employees as part of the annual review.
• Undertake regular job chats with employees to ensure clarity of requirements and performance.
• Communicate and promote an understanding of contract performance.
• Ensure that KPIs are achieved and that staff are aware of their role in service delivery.
• Update the Environmental Management System for site and ensure that measures to reduce the risk to the environment are adhered to.
• Generate revenue through additional works and monitor the P & L for site.
• This role will also support both local and business zero carbon programmes, working towards zero carbon in a strategic and lean manner as and where it is appropriate.
• Responsible for ensuring H&S standards are achieved across the contract.

What you'll need to succeed

• Recognised and relevant technical or FM qualification
• IOSH Managing safely (Essential)
• NEBOSH OR CITB SMSTS (Desirable)
• Customer relationship management
• Clear and sensitive communication style, likely to be of a technical nature
• Experience of the Facilities Management marketplace
• Experience of first line management
• Sound knowledge of service delivery and KPIs
• Demonstrable experience of budgeting and managing costs
• Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and implementation of policies
• Sound knowledge of Statutory and Mandatory Compliance with experience of preparing for external audits.

The successful candidate will be required to undergo and pass an Enhanced level 1 vetting with the client. (This is similar to a DBS check) please let us know upfront on any queries should you have any.What you'll get in return You will be paid between £23-28 per hour Inclusive of Holiday Pay, plus any overtime rates if you work weekends. This will be paid on a weekly basis.
