The role
As a Plant Operations and Maintenance Manager, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Acting as a senior manager within the Plant Operations and Maintenance teams, you will be deputising for Nuclear Operations and Maintenance Manager (NOMM).
Day to day, you'll have indirect responsibility in supporting the Plant Operations & Maintenance Manager's and the Facilities Operations Manager's reports.
- Developing and implementing suitable processes and training to ensure compliance with related IOIs at all times and to ensure all persons involved with operations controlled within the NOMM's sphere of influence are competent and trained to do so
- To assist the SRC Authorisation Group by providing professional advice on the facility plant and systems (including writing reports and verification of documents).
- Acting as the direct line manager of the Lock Out Tag Out Team for safety isolations, ensuring statement of conformance conditions are met, and ASQEP responsibilities are accepted and governed on behalf of the NOMM
- To document, in appropriate procedures, activities carried out by the department; and to support other company procedures as necessary to ensure compliance with their statutory and contractual requirements relevant to nuclear related activities.
This role is full time, 36 hours based on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard with hybrid working from home arrangements.
Essential experience of the Plant Operations and Maintenance Manager:
- Experience in maintaining and operating nuclear plant and facilities
- Knowledge/experience of the Site Licence Conditions/Authorisation Conditions (LC/AC) 10 and 12
- Demonstrable experience with the in-depth knowledge required to Lead the site operational control team and activity for the plant maintenance function
- Previous experience planning and scheduling maintenance activities, documentation control, work order and contractor control and progress and performance
Qualifications for the Plant Operations and Maintenance Manager:
- NUC0793 Nuclear Plant Foundation Course Module 1
- NUC0794 Nuclear Fundamental Course Module 2
- QUAL002 Submarine Quality Assurance Course
- NVQ Level 6 in an engineering discipline or equivalent
The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
