GENERAL OVERVIEW:

Manage all general maintenance activities.  This includes but is not limited to general mechanical equipment/systems, boiler plant facilities, fire alarm systems, grounds keeping, painting, and general laboring.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop, implement and oversee all plant operating, maintenance and repair procedures and policies based on industry standards and code requirements.  Sets priorities in assignments including training. Ensures scheduling of plant operations staff 24 hours per day, 365 days per year to ensure proper operation of the facilities and grounds. (20%)
• Work with the department leadership to prepare, monitor, and control the annual operating budget, and reduce departmental cost. Assists in the development of the departmental capital budget for the fiscal year. (15%)
• Prepares reports on completed tasks, safety committee, and participates in process improvement initiatives. (10%)
• Train and develop personnel in relevant activities and safety practices.  Manages all performance of employees in area of responsibility. Evaluates work, and recommends and implements approved disciplinary action. (10%)
• Oversees preventive maintenance and ensures meeting regulatory compliance for DOH and Joint Commission. (15%)
• Direct, manage and evaluate maintenance personnel. Counsel, discipline, and discharge subordinate personnel when necessary. Interview and hire personnel as required. (20%)
• Manage and/or perform the operations of the maintenance management computer system. This includes system design, upgrading, programming and implementation thereof.  (10%)

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum

• Prior job related experience of at least 3- 5 years.
• 3 years in a management role
• License as required for area of expertise.

Preferred

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Registration / certification in a craft
• Previous Healthcare Experience

THE JOB

US Concerts is seeking a Manager – Facility Maintenance Services who will be responsible for the overall management of all cleaning functions in the venue to ensure a clean, safe, and orderly experience for the guest.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO

• Interviews, selects, trains, supervises, counsels and disciplines maintenance service staff to ensure maximum guest satisfaction. Organizes and conducts meetings and communicates pertinent information to the staff.
• Schedules and directs staff in their work assignments
• Conducts pre-event inspections of all venue areas, prior to opening to ensure cleanliness and safety of areas
• Report all damages and required maintenance following each event to Operations Manager
• Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance
• Maintain building structures and fixtures
• Partners with cleaning team pre and post event
• Purchases, re-orders and maintains adequate supplies and inventory of cleaning products and other supplies
• Any other task as assigned by the Operations Manager
• Show CARE by participating in the venue’s sustainability program which could include implementing programs that conserve resources/prevent waste such as sorting waste and collecting recycling and educating our fans about our efforts.
• Work with scheduling payroll administrator to ensure that all staffing needs are met

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of safe work practices and procedures
• Attention to detail, quality and accuracy
• Experience in plumbing, construction, and general maintenance
• Previous management position
• Ability to work independently
• Available to work flexible and extended hours including evenings and weekends
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Position requires constant walking, climbing stairs, lifting and carrying 50 lbs+ and occasional sitting.
