Facilities – Customer Service Assistant
£23,114 - £23,893 per annum
Site based
37 hours per week
(shift pattern hours between 8:30am and 8:00pm Monday - Friday )

We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join the customer services team at Tamworth Borough Council. Working primarily from our main office at Marmion House, the role of the facilities/customer service assistant is a combined one delivering facilities duties including health and safety checks and customer services, assisting with customer enquiries at first point of contact for the residents of Tamworth.
The successful person will assist in the day-to-day operation of the post room and be someone with a flexible approach to work tasks.
As the Facilities - Customer Service Assistant you will be responsible for the tasks outlined in the job profile including:
Recording water flushing and general site inspections such as fire extinguishers and lighting, recording, and reporting faults as needed.
Presenting a professional front-of-house image to callers, visitors, and staff.
Answering incoming telephone calls and emails, greeting visitors, and offering first line customer support.
Handle incoming mail and deliveries to the front desk
Undertaking administrative duties as and when required to include word processing, email, filing, organising, scanning and photocopying

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Previous administration, post room or customer service experience
Enjoy building positive relationships both internally and externally with customers
Have an excellent telephone manner
Have a flexible approach to working hours
Enjoy working in a team environment and able to work independently when required
Be methodical with strong attention to detail
