Perth Digital was founded in 1987 as a specialist electronics repair facility. Our company’s philosophy is to strive for perfection and total customer satisfaction in the art of electronic and digital support. We provide warranty, extended warranty and non-warranty servicing, repair, maintenance, and replacement part service on most consumer electronic and digital products. We specialise in repairing electronics due to:
• Electronic/electrical failure
• Operational failure
• Mechanical failure
• Physical damage
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated electronics repair technician to join our team. The selected candidate will not only receive high quality on the job training however will be working towards a Certificate II in Electronics and Communication.
From designing new components to troubleshooting and repairing existing systems, electronic technicians, or electronics technicians, are involved in overseeing various types of electronic systems and equipment. These professionals apply their knowledge of wiring diagrams and schematics, electronics operations, and functions of electronic parts to perform service and installations in electronic manufacturing companies, telecommunications companies, computer firms, government agencies, and electrical engineering firms.
Responsibilities include:
• Assembling, installing, repairing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electronic components and systems such as: TV’s, Projectors, Amplifiers.
• Sourcing or fabricating replacement parts for electronic systems.
• Ensuring all power and manual tools are operated in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Liaising with Supervisors and clients to discuss work schedules and time and material cost estimates.
• Carrying out scheduled preventative maintenance and servicing equipment.
• Performing equipment demonstrations and drawing up training manuals wherever required.
• Following written, verbal, and telephonic instructions.
About you:
• A Relevant certificate or license highly favoured
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good hand-eye coordination and physical dexterity.
• Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Excellent written, verbal, and telephonic communication skills.
• Great interpersonal skills.
• Passion for Electronics.
• Willingness to learn and accept constructive feedback.
Work Related Requirements:
• National Police Clearance
• Valid Driver's licence
• Rights to work in Australia
Location: Perth Subiaco
Full-time: 9.00am to 4pm
