Department/Location:Technical Services Alexandra and Kidderminster Hospitals Accountable to:Technical Services Supervisor / Manager Job Purpose To provide a responsive and efficient technical support service for medical devices and decontamination equipment within, and on behalf of the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. The post-holders working base will mainly be mobile within the hospital site and significantly Ward based. The accountabilities of the successful Quality Assurance Technician

• Taste panel schedule compliance – completion rate KPI
• QA procedural third party and customer audit compliance – areas of responsibility, level of NC’s raised
• Accuracy of data input and schedule compliance for samples and swabbing – Level of errors identified
• Calibration matrix up to date – Level of equipment calibrations and verifications completed within date
• This role has a responsibility for food safety, brand integrity and Health and Safety

The successful candidate MUST:

• Have experience in the Food industry
• Food Safety qualification at Level 2 or higher
• Proficient in Microsoft applications, outlook, word, excel, powerpoint etc

Skill and Experience

• Verbal communication
• Understanding of Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Electrical control systems and PLC's
• Attention to detail and quality
• Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methods
• HNC / HND in relevant engineering discipline or similar qualification

My client, a globally known Midlands based firm who have been operating for over a century are looking to add to their team. A skilled Mechanical/Electrical or Multiskilled Engineer required at their HQ in Redditch.



**The role will consist of the below:**


* General Day to day maintenance of factory and office premises
* Inspect, test and commission electrical installations
* Diagnose and correct electrical faults
* Planned preventative maintenance in line with ISO accreditations
* Basic mechanical work including machining, welding, plumbing
* Operate and maintain Health and Safety working practices at all time
* Basic computer skills required / Outlook / Microsoft office
* Raising of purchase orders on MIS system and report cost saving targets (full training on MIS system provided)
* Liaise with suppliers and sub-contractors to ensure issues are resolved in an efficient manner

**About you:**


* DBS Check Required
* Clean driving license required as travel between Redditch / Corby and Telford may be required
* Electrical qualification: C&G Level 3 Electrical Installation or HND Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
* Ideally would have an understanding of printing industry, printing presses and print finishing equipment.
* Previous maintenance experience required
