Key Responsibilities for a Technical Trainee:

1. Assist in machine installation, upgrades, and related activities.

2. Assist in machine performance monitoring during trial operations to ensure proper functionality.

3. Team up with Senior Engineer to identify and report irregularities, such as unusual noises or performance issues.

4. Assist in diagnose and troubleshoot machine faults under supervision.

5. Report production metrics and machine issues to the supervisor.

6. Maintain logs of machine performance, issue, and repair activities.

7. Follow all workplace safety protocols accordingly.

8. Carry out ad-hoc task instructed when needed.

This position is duty-stationed in Mammoth Hot Springs in the Division of Facility Management and Operations. Primary responsibilities include:

• Install and repair heating and HVAC systems
• Set up, purge, remove, and install underground storage tanks
• Install and repair sewer systems
• Install and repair water systems
• Must possess an Environmental Protection Agency 608 Universal Technician certificate at time of hire.

• You will install, repair, inspect, operate, maintain, and service specialized heating, ventilation, air conditioning systems and refrigeration equipment systems.
• You will maintain and service compressed air generating, drying and oil removal equipment for pneumatic controllers and monitoring devices.
• You will perform modifications and tests on controls.
• You will calculate air flow, and the pressure temperature characteristics for different systems in order to locate and repair faulty equipment swiftly and to reduce inoperative time to minimum.
• You will maintain and test water treatment chemical equipment (conductivity controllers and chemical feed pumps).
• You will read blueprints, complex drawings, sketches, wiring diagrams, manufacturing specifications and technical materials.

• Leads meteorological technicians in the performance of weather forecasting related duties.
• Provides complex operational weather support to Air Force and other DoD/government/civilian users.
• Identifies, evaluates, and monitors significant weather developments, especially as they present potential impacts on critical flight operations.
• Provides weather briefings for local, transient, and other supported aircrews in person, by telephone, or by other means.
  

• Prepare and finalize various recurring reports, determining and modifying format, content, and frequency requirements.
• Responsible for extensive, formal internal and external coordination.
• Schedule appointments and meetings without prior approval in accordance with supervisor’s policies and priorities, and coordinates with the supervisor as necessary.
• Develop, establish, and maintains office procedures to ensure effective and efficient operations regarding the administrative, clerical, and procedural work of the unit.
• Review outgoing correspondence prepared by others for procedural and grammatical accuracy, conformance with general policy, and factual correctness.
• Review military personnel evaluations, fitness reports and awards for submission.

• Operate vehicles on and off post.
• Operate passenger vans and parking lot shuttles to pick up and transport ambulatory patients, hospital staff and visitors to facilities from various parking lots and op post facilities.
• Pick up and deliver a variety of items such as supplies and equipment items.
• Drive a variety of vehicles assigned to the Directorate of Branch Clinics.
• Operate motor vehicles that include 36 to 45 passenger buses, 5, 8, 12 and 15 passenger vans; pick-up trucks, sedan, stake and platform trucks, 2- and 5-ton trucks with hydraulic lift gates, and special purpose vehicles.
• Move items from storage to truck and from truck to destinations on post.
• May be required to maneuver vehicles over uneven terrain, improved or unimproved roads and through congested areas exercising caution when backing to load or unload at docks, ramps, and similar locations.
• This position has been designated "Mission Essential". In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
• Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.
• Employees assigned to a medical treatment facility are required to be screened for applicable immunizations or pre-existing immunity based on occupational risk, regardless of job series.

• Performs/obtains temperature, blood pressure, respiratory rate, oxygen saturation measurements, measuring height and weight as needed.
• Assists with patient transfers.
• Provides general clerical/administrative support for the clinic
• Makes gross visual observations and identifies subtle changes regarding the patient's condition.
• Reports observation to appropriate health care provider as needed.
• Monitors/observes patients for adverse reactions and takes corrective action based on established policy and procedures.
• Locates and sets up equipment and all accessories and understands proper positioning.
• Receives and interprets requests or instructions for procedures from medical or health care personnel.
• Secures patients' confidence and cooperation during procedures.
• Assists imaging staff in multiple modalities including obtaining patient screening forms, informing technologists of implants, devices or residual metal in the body and changing the patient into scrubs for their imaging exams.
• Stocks the department.
• Performs general maintenance duties including cleaning, arranging, and restocking supply cabinets, cleaning and sorting supplies, putting away coils, and equipment, calling attention to deficiencies in supplies and equipment.
• Records Veteran's inability to perform imaging exams.
• Records Veteran's behaviors or other required charting.
• Records Vital Signs if required by exam.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Conduct regular fuel farm operations and maintenance tasks following SOPs and safety guidelines.
• Preparation the daily logs and supervise the troubleshooting processes carried out by contractors, and reports all equipment abnormalities to the maintenance teams.

Requirements:

• NITEC and above
• At least 2 years of experience in Aviation industry.
• Possess valid class 4/5 and forklift license
• Proficient in utilizing applications with a strong awareness of cybersecurity.
