About The Role

As a Lead Technician within our Inhouse Maintenance Service (IMS), you will be responsible for leading on technical advice and assurance to a team of Multi Skilled Technicians (MST) that ensures an effective and efficient installation, repairs, maintenance, and refurbishment service delivery to our customers and their homes across a defined geographical area.

About The Candidate

To be considered for the role of Lead Technician, you will:

- Have experience of working in a team within the construction/maintenance sector or will hold a core trade qualification or apprenticeship.
- Have a good knowledge of health and safety legislation and requirements when undertaking construction and maintenance activities. or health and safety training (CITB SSSTS, IOSH or equivalent).

What you’ll be doing.

Reporting to your Area Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operation of our largest onshore wind farm. You will be expected to deliver scheduled and unscheduled maintenance services in accordance with manufacturers guidelines. Your role will include;

The Role

The Site Operations Facilities Management (FM) Delivery Lead reports directly to the Site Operations Facilities Management Manager and is responsible for the day to day services and projects delivery and implementation, of a specific package of work. Responsible for ensuring the efficient delivery of a singular but substantial support service in accordance with all safety, quality time and cost parameters to meet the needs of the facilities team to support the construction project.

• Compile monthly project reports, participate in client meetings, and ensure alignment with project milestones.
• Collaborate with project teams and oversee the daily task assignments for team members.
• Perform factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), loop checks, and provide support during commissioning.
• Support field activities during construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning phases.

The Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Instrument and Control Engineering.
• At least 15 years of experience in instrument and control system design, with a strong foundation in field instrumentation engineering and control systems such as DCS, ESD, and F&G.
• Hands-on experience with construction support, including FAT, SAT, and loop checks.
• Proficiency in the development of construction drawings and project documentation.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across teams.

Are you an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer looking to make an impact in a dynamic and industrial environment?

As part of the Electrical Engineering team, you will direct and control engineering craft and contractors to support the manufacturing site, performing preventive maintenance and inspections while providing critical expertise in resolving faults quickly to ensure manufacturing continuity and high standards of quality.

What you will do

In this role, you will:

• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards and company policies.
• Support manufacturing performance by conducting preventive maintenance and diagnosing and repairing faults in complex systems.
• Manage and allocate resources for planned maintenance schedules and ensure that contractor labour is organised effectively to meet maintenance objectives.
• Monitor engineering and contract work quality and cost efficiency, ensuring projects remain within budget.
• Develop your expertise in maintenance techniques, stay up to date with the latest equipment developments, and share knowledge with specialists and teams.
• Issue certificates of isolation as part of safe systems of work and ensure that changes to processes are risk assessed.
• Provide engineering expertise to identify opportunities for improvements in plant performance and safety.

What you will need

The Technical Maintenance Engineer should have a sound practical knowledge of Electrical Engineering, ideally with several years of relevant experience in a heavy manufacturing environment. You should be qualified to HNC level or have equivalent experience.

You must also have strong supervisory skills to ensure the safe and efficient execution of engineering repair work. Strong communication skills and the ability to stick to tight deadlines are essential.
