M & J Hemmett Electrical Services are currently looking to recruit an experienced and qualified Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Technician to join their team in Ingham QLD 4850.
The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems, including knowledge of electrical systems, and HVAC components.
- Diagnostic Skills: Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system problems effectively, using technical manuals, diagnostic tools, and testing equipment.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Strong mechanical skills to assemble, disassemble, and repair HVAC equipment and components accurately and efficiently.
- Attention to Detail: Precision in performing tasks such as measuring, cutting, and aligning HVAC components to ensure proper installation and functionality.
- Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to HVAC work, including handling of refrigerants, electrical safety, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Communication Skills: Clear verbal and written communication skills to interact professionally with customers, coworkers, and supervisors, explaining technical information clearly and concisely.
- Problem-Solving Ability: Ability to analyse complex HVAC system issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions to restore system functionality.
- Time Management: Efficiently manage workload and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and respond promptly to service calls and emergencies.
Skills and Abilities:
- Ideally have a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a qualified HVAC Technician
- A Certificate III in Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration trade or equivalent
- Ability to work in a team environment
Salary range is $70,000 - $85,000pa commensurate with experience
