Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of equipment to make sure they are in good mechanical and safe operating condition. Performs routine inspection and minor maintenance on all vehicles assigned to Outdoor Recreation. Uses and maintains tools and equipment. Utilizes hand and power tools such as but not limited to: drills, power saws, routers, standard hand tolls, straight edge, chalk line, tapes, rules, caulking items, pipe wrenches, rollers, putty knife, etc. Must maintain all current certification required to complete all assigned tasks (ie HAZMAT, Safety, Motor Vehicle Operating, etc). Drives/operates vehicles/equipment weighing up to 10,000 pounds at various locations both on and off base. Operates field-type tractors with attachments to maintain the grasses and brush in all areas. Operates Snow Removal and Grooming Equipment to include Snow Maker. Performs other related duties.

Physical Effort: The work requires considerable bending, standing, kneeling, climbing, and stooping. On site work requires physical exertion when handling heavy and bulky materials. Work typically requires climbing ladders. Frequently caries and lifts materials and equipment weighing up 40 pounds unassisted, and occasionally lifts or moves heavier items with the assistance of lifting devices or other workers.

Requires a general knowledge of carpentry, minor electrical work, plumbing, painting and related trades. Repair surfaces by such methods as sanding, scraping, or wire brushing for applications of coating materials such as painting, staining, varnishing or shellacking on furniture on furniture, dry walls, ceilings, trims, etc. cutting and installing carpet. Repairs and performs preventative maintenance on small equipment and appliances to include hand tools, vacuums, irons, installs hardware to repair sluggish drains, replace washers and tighten screws on fittings or faucets. Remove and replace minor electrical items such as wall switch covers, etc., fill out and complete AF Form 332 for Civil Engineering attention. Coordinate work with CE and other agencies to complete projects. Load, unload or relocate heavy and or bulky items from trucks conveyances, carry and assemble or reassemble items. Use heavy power equipment, mowers etc., adjust, clean, oil and preform maintenance. Cut and trim trees and shrubs. Operates a variety of vehicles including trucks, sedans, and crew cab pickup trucks that weigh up to 10,000 lbs., plow trucks and other snow removal equipment. Completes records and accident reports. Purchases equipment/repair parts as needed. Identifies to supply personnel large costs/quantity items needed to perform work. Performs other related duties as assigned.

SUMMARY: The primary purpose of this position is: To secure and manage the training program within the 3rd Munitions Squadron. The program includes, but not limited to: upgrade training (UGT) and on-the-job-training (OJT); civilian training requirements (if applicable); retraining; formal training coordination and scheduling; instructional systems development (ISD); professional military education (PME) scheduling and management; ancillary training; unit training planning; preparing briefings on status of training (SOT) to the commander; provides guidance and assistance on technical training data to unit commander, managers, and supervisors.

DUTIES:

• Plans, manages, and directs munitions training program.
• Initiates, controls, and schedules education and training materials and testing procedures.
• Organizes, maintains, and outlines training program for managers and supervisors; assists management in the commander's review (CR) process.
• Uses varied and advanced functions of office automation software to create, format, modify, edit, and print a variety of documents and support office operations.

• Conducts extensive searches for information pertaining to complex and/or unusual supply transactions and patterns.
• Provides supply support for production, overhaul, repair, or other operations for equipment and/or parts requiring special handling.
• Determines stock levels needed for non-recurring, specialized items based on usage, inventory, project demands, seasonal demands, changing customer needs, and projected depletion.
• Prepares recurring and special reports. Compiles statistics from data requiring substantial analysis, interpretation, and development of new formats.
• Performs administrative office support functions and maintains cooperative working relationships with team members, related functions, and operating officials .
• Uses multiple office automation software with varied functions to produce a wide range of documents that often require complex formats, such as graphics or tables within text, editing and reformatting electronic drafts, and updating or revising existing databases or spreadsheets.

SUMMARY: The primary purpose of this position is to assist with the oversight and coordinate specialized developmental care for children 6 weeks to 5 years of age in the child development program. To serve as a senior educational technician and provide support and guidance to appropriated fund (APF) employees, nonappropriated fund (NAF) employees, and other employees as assigned. Facilitates appropriate instruction for children in assigned areas of responsibility. The incumbent may be designated as the supervisor on duty, as needed, in operation of the center during extended hours and in the absence of the Assistant Director and/or Director.

DUTIES:

1. Responsible for technical program oversight of the lower graded assistants, lead program assistants, and technicians providing them mentoring, training and instruction.
2. Provides age appropriate developmental care for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years of age.
3. Ensures a safe, healthy and nurturing environment for all children.
4. Prepares daily activities for children 6 weeks to 5 years of age that supports the inclusion of children with special needs.

• Under the direction of the librarian, oversees library procurement/acquisitions process.
• Provides ready reference services to library clientele by locating bibliographic information using standard library reference tools such as guides, indexes, bibliographies, professional directories, current card catalog, Compact Disc Read-Only Memory (CD-ROM) , and online databases.
• Performs descriptive and copy cataloging where the bibliographic characteristics are relatively easy to determine, and cataloging decisions are adapted or changed from standards to meet specific library requirements.
• Administers the day-to-day operation of the circulation desk.
• Administers library programs, such as the summer reading program, children's programs, and book rental program.
• Uses varied and advanced functions of word processing software to prepare, format, modify, edit, and print a variety of letters, reports, memos, and other textual documents.
