Job Description
- Manage and track all activities from a hotline and ticketing system
- Handle faults and incidents reported by clients, vendors, and stakeholders; and ensure all issues are resolved
- Monitor data center infrastructure and support systems, reporting and escalating issues as required.
- Perform data centre operations support (e.g. on-site support, power cycling, inspections, troubleshooting, installations, etc.)
- Carry out inter/intra cabling works, onboarding, server installations, network equipment set up, parts upgrading, etc.
- Ensure that all works carried out adheres to SOPs that have been set out
- Asset and inventory management
- Provide reports and updates to stakeholders
- Any other ad hoc duties as required
Requirement
- At least a diploma from an engineering field
- 1 -2 years of experience in the data center industry
- Able to work in shifts (including graveyard shifts) and be on 24/7 standby
- Familiar with Network, System and Building Monitoring Systems alert
- Experience with operations support (e.g. hot swop, inter-rack cabling, power cycling, tape management, etc.) would be an added advantage
- Good oral and written communication skills
