• Responds to emergencies in an appropriate manner by obtaining equipment and by caring for other patients during the emergency process as needed.
• Assists with direct patient care procedures and related tasks by checking in patients, obtaining patient histories, taking vital signs of temperature, height, weight, blood pressure, respirations, and O2 saturations.

• Repackage drugs into usable sizes and maintain controls for review by a pharmacist.
• Communicate with patients, medical personnel, vendors and other persons utilizing pharmacy information systems and knowledge of medications.

• Performs comprehensive review of the record to assure the presence of all components parts.
• Assigns and sequences International Classification of Disease (ICD). Current Procedural Terminology (CPT), Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS), Current Dental Terminology (CDT), Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) codes to Diagnosis and procedures from documentation information.
• Assures diagnostic and procedural terminology used is consistent with currently acceptable medical nomenclature.
• Makes the final determination that the health record is complete, accurate and reflects data to justify the diagnosis and treatment without infringing on decisions concerning a physician's clinical judgement.
• Maintain an inventory log of all patient records for the facility for active patients, decreased patients, and archived record. Review and download any electronic health information received by Health Information Exchange (HIE) received from external sources into patients' electronic health record on a daily basis. Communicate with health care teams and committees to ensure data quality of direct patient care.
• Generates a variety of reports to review, identify, correct errors, discrepancies, etc.

• Performs basic technical processes entailed in dispensing prescriptions which include a basic review of the chart to determine appropriate patient and number of medications.
• Verifies identity of patient, review all medications with patient using the IHS consultation method to include proper dose, directions for use, potential adverse reactions, side effects, expected outcomes.
• Receives and fills ward and clinic supply orders using math skills to compute proper amounts, ascertain replenishment needs, and maintain pharmacy inventory,
• Perform the technical functions required for bulk compounding.
• Prepares sterile solutions in the pharmacy , Interprets the doctors orders, obtains necessary ingredients, measures and mixes ingredients to prepare intravenous additives.

• Participates in designed ongoing quality improvement activities in the pharmacy department as required by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations.
• Performs independent monthly inspections of all drug storage areas within the facility whether in pharmacy areas, inpatient areas or ambulatory areas including review of the cardiac arrest carts.

• Performs routine and moderately complex accounting tasks consistent with level of complexity warranted by the grade level and in accordance with prescribed policies and procedures.

• Ensures that relationships are maintained throughout the entire accounting structure by maintaining surveillance over the day-to-day accounts payable financial operations.
