You will be involved in process engineering practices. Additionally, process technicians must comply with safety health and environmental rules.
Roles & Responsibilities:

• Maintain correct product quality and monitor product quality through manual checks and automated monitoring systems.

Maintenance Engineer

Up to £48,500 (inclusive of shift allowance) per annum depending on experiencePrimarily 40 hours per week - 3 shift rota early/lates/nights. Overtime available, time and a half.

We are working with an exciting and innovative client within the construction industry. Due to site expansion and restructure, they require a Maintenance Engineer at their Leeds site. The jobholder is responsible for the daily preventative maintenance and repair of heavy plant equipment to ensure efficient, continuous operation of the site. Working as part of the maintenance team as well as working closely with the Shift Supervisor, production teams and contractors, ensuring the day-to-day maintenance and repairs is completed effectively and safely, alongside continual improvements to the production plant. Developing a detailed understanding of the facility to continuously improve maintenance systems and ensure they work properly and that they comply with Health, Safety, Environment and Quality regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Responsible to personally carry out Daily, Weekly & Monthly preventative planned maintenance (PPM) activities, in line with the manual and manufacturer's instructions that are recorded in the site logs. * Responsible for the workshop area, and tracking/replenishing consumables.

* Responsible for the spares and sourcing suppliers to ensure spares are readily obtainable, with the longer lead-time critical spares held in stock, resulting in minimal plant downtime.

* Hands on guidance and training, to assist the teams with both preventative and reactive maintenance requirements associated with the plant and equipment at Leeds.

* Responsible for the continual operation of the plant, fault-finding and breakdown repairs.

* Take a proactive approach to providing improvements resulting in minimising downtime and optimising production.

* Flexible to cover staff shortages and call-outs to deal with breakdowns and operational problems, and to carry out other reasonable duties required by the site management.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

* At least 5 years' experience within a heavy industry (aggregates, concrete, mining or waste) maintenance environment with the ability to fault find and repair mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic issues.* Preferably CGLI, NVQ, BTEC or HND qualified.

* Knowledge and experience in but not limited to: - Conveyor belt systems - changing bearings and rollers, fitting skirts. Pan mixers - Replacing arms, tips and wear plates, gearbox repairs. Hydraulics - servicing hydraulic packs, replacing ram seals, valve and hose servicing /repair Pneumatics - Airline replacement, compressor servicing, valve replacement.

* Ability to carry out basic welding and fabrication repairs and improvements as required.

* Strong team worker with the ability to train and motivate others in the understanding of plant and machinery maintenance.

* Ability to review and improve PPM systems and processes within a growing business, and (in conjunction with the Site Manager and Senior Supervisor).

* Willingness to be innovative, work under their own initiative, with strong organisational skills, being able to plan, prioritise and organise various tasks at the same time.

* Must have a flexible approach to work and be contactable out of hours.

DESIRABLE SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

* Experience within an aggregates, concrete, mining or waste environment.

* Fabrication and welding experience.

* Basic industrial electrical knowledge.

* Holder of an IOSH or recognised safety training certificate.

* Hold appropriate mobile plant operating certificates, ideally with the ability to train others.

Your new role
Our client is looking for a new facilities manager to join working within a PFI environment covering a full Total Facilities Management site (TFM). As facilities manager, you will support on the day-to-day operations of service on site and be the focal point on site for all services including M&E, HVAC, Cleaning etc and ensure that all are delivered to the highest standard and within agreed contractual timings and KPIs.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you must have experience in a role within facilities management and support the whole total facilities management portfolio. You will ideally have experience working within a PFI environment and with the knowledge of compliance, Health and Safety and service delivery practices. Ideally, you will hold an OSH certificate and have a good understanding of CDM regulations. Your new role

• 34 hours per week - 4 on 2 off shift pattern (07:00am - 14:45pm & 14:15pm - 22:00pm)
• Location: Worthing
• 6 Month - FTC
• Must not be allergic to penicillin

As a Forklift & Warehouse Machinery Operative your main duties will be to operate warehouse manual handling equipment to include high reach and
Counterbalance forklift trucks, trailer tow tractors, ride on and push pallet trucks and pallet inverters to move, load, wrap and safely store palletised products on site.

Allactivities conducted as part of this service will be carried out in line with the GSK procedures and policies that apply. The main activities are covered in GSK SOP MSP1313: Trailer Service Production Unitsand must always be adhered to.
You will ensure full compliance with GXP operating standards of cleaning, PPE, paperwork and conduct where applicable. To comply with GSK PSOPs for standard working practice and ensure good standards of housekeeping in all areas used by the Distribution and Logistics team. You will also report all damage and maintenance required on equipment to GSK immediately to avoid service disruption.

What you'll need to succeed

• Forklift truck operator certification and experience in a similar role.
• A flexible approach to working environment with a willingness to support working overtime as required and the ability to communicate effectively and foster good working relationships both internally and with clients.
• You will have the ability to perform well under pressure and independent of supervision.
