The primary purpose of this position is to provide clerical support, perform routine administrative tasks to assist resources management staff and to acquire equipment, supplies or services through open market procedures using acquisition procedures.
Classifies and verifies a wide variety of accounting documents in order to assure their mathematical correctness, completeness of information, and to prepare control sheets with appropriate accounting codes. Maintains double-entry bookkeeping journals and subsidiary ledgers and posting entries to establish accounts. Prepares monthly balances, reconciles accounts, and transcribes to general ledger for closeout of all accounts. Traces discrepancies, if necessary, to posting documents, computes operational expenses incurred by individual activities for accounting services provided, and assigns charges appropriately. Reports prepared may include profit and loss statements, financial statements, and miscellaneous financial reporting data. Determines procurement method based on such factors as procurement history, urgency of need, estimated cost, and applicable directives. Prepares requests for quotation to obtain quotes for small purchases and contracts. Verifies and abstracts information from vendors for orders or contracts. Reviews offers for compliance. Negotiates with vendors on a variety of issues, such as price breaks, accelerated delivery, reduction of service charges, etc. Prepares documentation for award. Issues purchase/delivery orders, Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs) (priced and unpriced), Individual Service Contracts, Concessionaire Contracts, and other contracts and agreements within limits of contracting officer's warrant. Responsible for post award administration. Administers contracts, orders, agreements, and modifications, including follow-up. Gathers, monitors, and maintains data, related to purchasing, prepares reports and responds to inquiries. Uses automated systems to input purchase requests, issue orders, request for quotations (RFQ), and other purchasing associated information. This position may require occasional travel. Performs other related duties as assigned.

When the situation warrants, incumbent accomplishes NAF payroll clerk duties. Creates and initiates biweekly payment of liabilities, provides assistance to timekeepers and NAF management personnel on payroll related problems, processes information for unemployment request, and maintains workers compensation case files. Performs Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) for employees with direct deposit through an authorized Air Force Agent. Verifies all pay action documents, processes payroll checks, and completes all other related reports. Provides Time Management and NAF Payroll Systems training on an as required basis, at the direction of the supervisor.

SUMMARY: The primary purpose of this position is to provide appropriate, specialized developmental care and instruction for children in the Child Development Center (CDC). In addition, performs basic oversight and supervision for a designated classroom for ages 6 months through 5 years. The incumbent may be designated as the supervisor on duty, as needed, whenever the Child Development Center (CDC) Director is not physically in the facility.

DUTIES:

• Assists with the planning and performs maintenance in all Lodging facilities. Uses equipment such as Freon recovery units, manifold gauge sets, vacuum pumps, stationary power tools, table saws, drill presses, jointers, plumb lines, spirit level, marking gauges, framing squares, routers, as well as common hand and power tools.
• Installs and/or repairs air-conditioning units, thermostats, ice machines, window units, central air-conditioners, troubleshoots, evacuates systems, repairs leaks, charges systems, cleans coils, by the accepted methods and techniques of the trade while observing environmental protection agency rules. Repairs, trouble shoots, recovers Freon, evacuates, cleans and charges, air-condition units as needed. Performs preventative maintenance, plans and completes work from initial layout to final assembly by interpreting and applying specifications, blueprints, sketches, and other guides and codes. Ensures environmental protection agency rules are followed, determines the methods, techniques, materials, devices, and sequences best suited to do the work. Completes work by any of the accepted methods and techniques of the trade.
• Constructs, alters, repairs wooden and wood substitute items and structures such as framework, interior and exterior trim, staircases, and a variety of furniture. Installs and/or repairs various flooring materials to include carpeting, vinyl tile, sheet tile, ceramic and quarry tile. Installs and/or repairs windows, doors, hinges, locksets, panic hardware, door closers, suspended ceilings, and a variety of furniture. Installs and/or repairs various plumbing fixtures such as sinks, water faucets, toilets, urinals, and their control mechanisms such as flush valves, diaphragms, shut-off valves, shower controls1 replaces p-traps and garbage disposals. Installs and/or repairs various minor electrical components such as light fixtures, receptacles, switches, TV cable outlets, vacuums, and shampooing equipment. • CAPENTRY: Construct, alter and repair wooden substitute items and make modifications and improvements to indoor and outdoor facilities.
• Mounts fire extinguisher brackets on walls.

Inspects buildings and structures to determine nature and extent of repairs required. Performs minor repairs on existing structures and furnishings. Replaces trim and baseboards and broken, discolored, or missing acoustical ceiling tile, window screens, and other damaged components. Repairs sticking doors/windows and replaces weather stripping, adjusts loose hinges, repairs faulty door locks. Inspects for plumbing and electrical repairs, responds to work orders, and locates and makes repairs to plumbing. Removes, cleans, replaces, packages, and scales defective parts of utility, supply and disposal systems such as dirty traps, sections of broken tile or pipe, and leaky drains using appropriate tools. Caulks and seals elbows, joints, tile, pipes, faucets and shower drain, walls, sinks and tubs. Inspects equipment, furnishings, and buildings for deterioration of painted surfaces and rusty metal surfaces. Mixes and blends paints and other coating material to obtain desired consistency and color following specific written directives. Applies paint to interior and exterior surfaces such as furniture, doors, walls, trims, strips porches and similar surfaces. Provide minor maintenance to wooden furniture and other lodging assets as well as cabinets, counters, flooring, walls, ceilings, doors and plumbing. Conducts preventative maintenance on equipment such as vacuums, steam cleaners and power tools. Periodically moves heavy furniture to facilitate cleaning, occasionally vacuums and cleans carpet and draperies. Moves washers and dryers to enable thorough cleaning. Shampoos carpet using industrial type power equipment. Hangs and moves pictures. Moves and replaces excess or broken furnishings and equipment in guest rooms and in the lodging warehouse. Overseas contractor compliance during furniture and asset installation as part of lodging renovations. Maintains logs and status updates of maintenance called into other agencies such as Civil Engineers (CE). Prepares AF Forms 332 and ensures proper routing through base agencies. Assess safety issues for possible Risk Assessment with Safety. Ensures estimates and pictures where needed are provided as supporting documentation. Performs Quarterly check with CE for tracking of work orders. Ensures maintenance issues are not closed prior to satisfactory work. Manages and blocks rooms in Defense Lodging System. Acts as Safety Representative for the lodging operation. Conducts walk through of facilities and grounds to include the lodging playground and pavilions, tracks and ensures annual maintenance of fire extinguishers. Ensures correction of existing hazards and monitors discrepancies to completion. Answers safety reports and maintains reports and answers for five years. Ensures vehicles are checked daily, proper documentation is conducted, and minor maintenance and upkeep is performed including replacing batteries and maintaining fluids. Schedules vehicles for maintenance through the lodging Vehicle Control Officer (VCO). Be able to drive various vehicles to include forklifts and large utility vehicles. Ensures all Lodging Checklist items are properly documented and maintained.
