1. Establishes plans, schedules, and controls the maintenance and repair of a variety of vehicles and equipment such as combat vehicles, heavy-duty engineering and mobile equipment, tracked vehicles, towed and self-propelled artillery, communications and electronic equipment, guided missile systems, and small arms. Implements maintenance plans and monitors progress of accomplishments. Provides status of equipment, maintenance actions in progress, and location of equipment. Inputs data regarding work order information, status changes, supply updates, and other pertinent information. Makes on-the-spot adjustments to repair priorities on routine or reoccurring processes necessitated by unscheduled maintenance requirements.
2. Studies directives, modification work orders, and regulations as to their application in the unit. Assists supervisory personnel in determining impact of these requirements on shop capability. Modifies production planning to accommodate these requirements. Conducts initial and long range planning pertaining to routine production processes, mechanical skills, availability of test and diagnostic equipment, repair parts, and other factors influencing the repair, modification, and maintenance of equipment and readiness reporting.
3. Designates and maintains current maintenance repair priorities by Force Activity Designator, pacing items, Equipment Readiness Codes (ERC) A, B, and C equipment type, available funds, commander's priority, state/national priorities, (in the case of floods, fires, and mobilizations) and unit supported. Authorizes the acceptance of equipment for repair; monitors work priorities, status, and completion of work orders and requisitions; and provides status of repair parts. Assists supervisory personnel regarding readiness, Class 9 (CL IX) funding, production problems and work planning. Assists in the resolution of problems encountered between scheduled or unscheduled production or priority requirements.
4. Provides assistance to ensure that Modified Table of Organization and Equipment (MTO&E) or Table of Distribution and Allowances (TDA) reportable Line Item Numbers (LIN) are properly managed, reported and accounted for with respect to readiness reports, property accountability reports and system management. Based on guidance received from the supervisor or higher graded production controller, prioritizes resources to ensure the highest level of readiness in support of training and mobilization requirements of supported units. Works with other sections within the organization to ensure equipment readiness reports are correct and submitted in time to meet Department of the Army (DA) reporting suspense.
5. Analyzes repair methods and recommends control procedures to ensure that accomplishment of programs meet priorities and deadlines established by higher authority or support activities. Coordinates with units and other support activities concerning the delivery, status of repair operations, and/or pick up of completed work orders.
6. In the absence of the higher graded production controller, ensures that unit CL IX accounts are funded, budgeted, and executed to maximize readiness; and performs demand analysis on CL IX expenses to determine proper PLL stockage to sustain facility mission requirements.
7. May provide day-to-day technical guidance to lower-graded personnel assisting in the maintenance production or maintenance management processes. Ensures necessary maintenance records are maintained and required reports are submitted to units and higher headquarters' in a timely manner.
8. Performs other duties as assigned.

• Operate, control, coordinate and direct the operation of the project from the project control room using all levels of digital, electronic and manual devices.
• Routinely make inspections to insure that established operating procedures are being followed and make first-hand evaluation of emergency situations which arise
• Assign operators to various stations including the control room for operating purposes and issues instructions to other project operators in carrying out project operating functions.
• Responsible for maintaining the plant discharge, forebay and tailrace elevations and generator loading and voltage level.
• Prepare, issue, and release all clearances and caution orders.
• Serve as the Operations Project Manager (OPM) representative on shifts other than day shifts, weekends and holidays.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of the central steam plant consisting of both water-tube and fire-tube (1) boilers with the capacity of producing 1,700 HP at 55,000 lb. of steam per hour.
• Changes flowcharts, and computes daily use of make-up water, steam production, fuel usage (both natural gas and diesel) and calculates heating and cooling degree days to validate efficient operation. Performs hourly inspection of equipment under load.
• Follows established procedures during the lighting of, operation, sequencing, and during all boiler procedures and testing.
• Completes annual inspections of both types of boilers.
• Inspects fire box for refractory ass and tube wear on the outside of tubes, baffles, piping, and tubes for wear and scaling.
• Operates and maintains all support equipment: deaerator tank, condensate tank, condensate pumps, feed water pumps, forced draft blowers, air compressors and fuel oil pumps.
• Performs operator-level preventive and corrective maintenance on chillers, cooling towers, fire-tube and water tube boilers, pumps, valves steam traps, valve actuators and damper linkages and other associated equipment.

• Analyzes supported Aviation units' logistics capabilities and training requirements.
• Develops plans to improve technical proficiency of unit personnel and includes them in the AAFA logistics efforts.
• Develops maintenance plans to maximize AAFA services to maintain aircraft readiness.
• Projects short and long term maintenance requirements.
• Identifies full-time support and unit personnel capacities and capabilities, annual training schedules, tool and diagnostic test equipment requirements, repair parts, and facilities needed to satisfy operational and training flight requirements.
• Develops schedules of aircraft and hours to be flown to satisfy the AAFA operational aircraft requirements.
• Recommends priorities for use of aircraft based on operational mission requirements and projected short and long-term maintenance requirements and AAFA capabilities.
• Develops integrated workload schedules and priorities to balance operational and training flying requirements and logistics capabilities.
• Uses Unit Level Logistics System-Aviation (ULLS-A) to facilitate management of AAFA logistics operations.
• Serves as contact point between the Logistics Manager/Supervisory Maintenance Test Pilot and work centers.
• Provides analytical information for continuous management reviews of aircraft readiness and workload capabilities and capacities.
• Coordinates Maintenance Test Flights (MTF) and Maintenance Operational Checks (MOC) to ensure optimum availability of ready aircraft.
• Coordinates and publishes maintenance plans and schedules.
• Collects data, processes, and submits Aircraft Inventory Status and Flying Time Report (DA Form 1352) as well as data and information pertaining to Unit Status Reports (USR).

Major Duties include but are not limited to:

• Working leader in charge of all work performed by the Air Conditioning, Refrigeration and Heating Unit, Boiler Plant, and Chiller Plant.
• Leads hospital non-recurring or minor projects connected with the Air Conditioning Refrigeration and Heating Unit, boiler plant, and chiller plant.
• Assigns work to the unit work force daily.
• Prepares irregular tours and other schedules and submits them in advance to the Utilities Systems Supervisor for approval.
• Recommends approval or disapproval of annual, LWOP, and sick leave for unit personnel, recommends promotions, disciplinary action, reassignments, and will furnish to the immediate supervisor written monthly recommendations for performance ratings for each assigned employee.
• Assists in writing accident reports, incentive awards, suggestions and/or work simplification.
• Responsible for providing updated data on all items under the preventive maintenance program, recording on work orders all repaired data including time, parts, materials and cost of items used.
• Generates and signs subsidiary time and attendance sheets and checks accuracy and signs employee activity sheets.
• Spot checks work for all shop personnel to ensure quality, accuracy and compliance with trade codes and facility standards.
• Will perform the duties of Journeyman A/C mechanic and/or lead subordinates to maintaining and making repairs to assigned AC Plant, Boiler Plant equipment.
• Responsible for the maintenance and repairs performed on all air conditioning, refrigeration, ventilation and heating systems assigned.
• Shall perform appropriate requirements on the following systems and equipment: Pneumatic and electronic control panels, window air conditioners, walk-in and reach-in refrigerators, ice machines, fan coil units, air handlers, self-contained chiller units, multi-zone systems, cooling towers and associated components, water pumps, flow indicators, electrical, mechanical and pneumatic valves, drinking water coolers, steam, electrical and gas fired heating units, pressure reducing valves, traps, ventilation units, mechanical and motorized louvers, vent pipe for gas fired equipment, strainers and any other devices associated with cooling, heating, ventilation or refrigeration.
• Accomplish all tasks by following appropriate technical data, blueprints, free hard sketches, work orders, verbal instructions and by using correct test equipment, tools and protective clothing.
• Provide uninterrupted control of the environment in designated areas.
