RESPONSIBILITIES:

• You’ll build the best team possible. You’ll guide the team in stretches before their shift and rotate workstations throughout the shift

• Checking daily production orders to ensure fulfillment of customer orders ensuring accurate shipments, record keeping, rotation of inventory, and proper coding of products.

What You’ll Be Doing

Management Level:

This is a 2nd shift position, Monday through Friday, with Saturdays & Sundays as needed, from 1:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.  Applicants should be open to working on weekends and holidays as necessary. Additional compensation is provided for the 6th and 7th workdays.

This location is part of our Prepared Foods Division. As a Production Supervisor, you can expect to your day to day include maintaining high production, quality, and yields while ensuring the safest working environment possible. This position requires an essential understanding and control of the production process, accurate record keeping, and general line maintenance and staffing.

SUMMARY:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Checking daily production orders to ensure fulfillment of customer orders.
• Ensuring every position is filled before start-up of production line.
• Overseeing Team Member morning exercises and job rotation to facilitate ergonomics.
• Ensuring all machinery is performing to the highest standard possible.
• Ensuring all workstations have passed USDA Inspection
• Promoting safety daily as well as through monthly safety meetings
• Ensuring accurate shipments, rotation of inventory, and proper coding of products.
• Additionally, knowing and communicating company benefits and compensation policies to Team Members
• Providing encouragement to Team Members to build the best team possible.
• Critical ability to perform the human relations functions such as training Retaining, and counseling on personal and professional problems.
• Overseeing various processing operations and working with other supervisors in solving problems
• Keeping records of reworked or returned product.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: High school diploma: education beyond high school including special training, vocational school and/or college courses is preferred.

Experience: 1+ years in a manufacturing environment and prior supervisory experience preferred. 

Communication Skills: Strong communication skills.

Computer Skills: Basic computer skills helpful.

Supervisory: This position is responsible for supervising a group of personnel who perform somewhat identical and related tasks or activities.

Travel: 1-5 trips per year.

En quoi consiste ce rôle:

Au sein d’une équipe de cinq (6) superviseurs de production, un(e) coordonnateur planification, un(e) technicien planification des horaires & collaborant en étroite collaboration avec le Directeur production & maintenance, en tant qu’acteur clé de changement, votre rôle sera de:

• Livrer au quotidien le plan de production en quantité, qualité et en coût, en coordonnant adéquatement les procédés de fabrication fromagère & les équipes de travail;

• Veiller à l'application des politiques, procédures et instructions répondant aux exigences du système qualité (SQF, HACCP et autres) & santé sécurité, vecteurs essentiels au succès des opérations;

• Agir comme un exemple quant à la gestion des grands programmes SST (Cadenassage, Sécurité machine, Espace clos, SIMDUT, etc.);

• Comprendre et bien appliquer la convention collective;

• Participer et supporter nos employés vers une culture de performance & d’efficacité opérationnelle;

• Initier, supporter et gérer les initiatives d’amélioration opérationnelle;

• Baccalauréat ou technique collégiale dans un domaine lié à la gestion des opérations, à l’ingénierie ou transformation alimentaire (ITA, STA, Génie alimentaire);

• Vous cumulez plus de deux (2) années d’expérience comme Superviseur de production;

• Votre expérience comme Superviseur de production dans l’industrie laitière sera considérée comme un fort atout;

• Vos connaissances quant au processus de fabrication fromager seront considérées comme un atout;
