This is an ongoing-temporary position, available with the possibility of going permanent at a later date.

The role
As a Senior Production Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll have the opportunity to provide structure to a team of engineers working on some fascinating projects across all areas of Devonport Royal Dockyard in support of the Royal Navy Submarine and Warship programmes.

Essential experience of the Senior Production Engineer

Qualifications for the Senior Production Engineer

• HNC or equivalent level, in an Engineering / Technical Subject or as determined by the Production manager due to previous relevant experience.

• Undertaking visits to Submarine platforms to assess reactor based tasks

This role is full time, 36 hours based on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard with hybrid working from home arrangements.

Essential experience of the Senior Production Engineer:

• Experience in Submarine maintenance, build or repair
• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with key stakeholders
• Relevant experience, knowledge and training of PWR1 and/or PWR2 Operations, maintenance, repair
• Experience in the planning of engineering projects - Desirable
• Experience as a PWR1 or PWR2 operator would be beneficial - Desirable
