Telehandler Operator needed in Carterton, Oxfordshire

Daniel Owen Recruitment are looking for a Telehandler Operator to work on a residential site in Carterton.

The successful Telehandler Operator will be required to help with labouring when not required to do lifts. There is long term work available for the right person.

A CPCS ticket and experience is a must for this role.

Duties for the successful Telehandler Operator include:

- Operate a telehandler to move, locate, and reposition materials

- Adhere to safety protocols and standards while operating the equipment

- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure efficient work flow

- Assist in loading and unloading materials from trucks or other vehicles

- Follow instructions from supervisors to complete tasks efficiently

Requirements for the role

The successful Telehandler Operator will need a CPCS ticket, full PPE (Hard hat, Hi-Vis and steel-toe cap boots) and proof with a reference having done a similar role previously.

What will your role look like?

• Working as part of a team to produce premium aluminium gates and bespoke automation solutions
• Welding preparation and jigging
• Various metalworks, including grinding, drilling, tapping, screwing, filing, cutting, routing, linishing, and polishing
• General light carpentry
• Reading drawings and calculating aluminium cut lists from drawings
• Dry fitting and assembly
• Spray painting and associated preparation works
• Running and labelling cables
• Steel and wood surface weather treatments
• Trenching and digging
• Fitting posts and hanging gates
• Manual labour and general civil work
• Making good on all types of outdoor ground surfaces (gravel, tarmac, etc.)
• Lifting heavy items and packaging/preparing gates for delivery
• Light CNC machine work
• Following manufacturing processes
• Delivering a high level of customer service to all clients
• Working on construction sites and client premises, both residential and commercial
• Exposure to circuitry and wiring, welding, component installation, and configuration
