Working for a leading manufacturer in Kings Lynn who put innovation at the forefront of what they do. The company specialises in the design and manufacture of large industrial units. Due to continued growth the business are looking for a team member to support the Production and Engineering teams, with a focus on lean improvements and waste reduction.
Your new role
This is a very dynamic and rewarding role, where you must use your expertise and initiative to make changes. You will hold a range of responsibilities including, but not limited to:
- Be an Ambassador for Lean Manufacturing
- Deal promptly and effectively with problems
- Champion deployment of the 5 pillars of the Visual Workplace
- Support a culture of Kaizen by helping to train others
- Help manage projects from cradle to grave using tools such as: budget trackers, Gantt charts and AutoCAD
- You will also lead shop floor design flow improvements
What you\'ll need to succeed
- You will come from a manufacturing background, ideally around heavy engineering and have proven experience with leading and training in Kaizen, lean processes and process mapping.
- You should be able to demonstrate previous success in cost down projects, quality and capital project management.
- Experience in process analysis and improvements, detailed knowledge of manufacturing processes and lean manufacturing toolbox methodologies.
