Due to continued growth the business are looking for a team member to support the Production and Engineering teams, with a focus on lean improvements and waste reduction.


Your new role
This is a very dynamic and rewarding role, where you must use your expertise and initiative to make changes. You will hold a range of responsibilities including, but not limited to:

• Be an Ambassador for Lean Manufacturing
• Deal promptly and effectively with problems
• Champion deployment of the 5 pillars of the Visual Workplace
• Support a culture of Kaizen by helping to train others
• Help manage projects from cradle to grave using tools such as: budget trackers, Gantt charts and AutoCAD
• You will also lead shop floor design flow improvements

What you\'ll need to succeed

• You will come from a manufacturing background, ideally around heavy engineering and have proven experience with leading and training in Kaizen, lean processes and process mapping.
• You should be able to demonstrate previous success in cost down projects, quality and capital project management.
• Experience in process analysis and improvements, detailed knowledge of manufacturing processes and lean manufacturing toolbox methodologies.

Contract Personnel are currently looking for a Production Technician for one of our clients based in Norwich. Excellent ongoing opportunity for the right individual.

Your responsibilities:

• As a Production Technician this role will be involved in assisting all production areas, working to strict guidelines, and ensuring production deadlines are met efficiently by ensuring high levels of quality and traceability.
• It is imperative that you can demonstrate strict attention to detail, along with good organisational skills and the ability to be able to work flexibly within a fast paced and demanding manufacturing environment.
• An ideal candidate can demonstrate excellent written and spoken communication skills, proactive approach; power tools and assembly experience.
• Any other duties may be required, all training provided.

Shift pattern:

• Start day – 3rd January 2023
• Monday to Friday
• Hours: Monday to Friday 08:00am – 16:30pm (Friday early finish – 14:30pm)
• Occasional overtime available (weekends not included)
