This is a Career-Seasonal position and subject to release and recall procedures. A permanent career-seasonal position includes all the benefits of permanent employment, but does not provide employment on a full year-round basis. As such, selectee will be in a non-pay/non-duty status for at least 2 weeks to 6 months per year based on project requirements or weather conditions. Selectee are guaranteed to work at least 6 months per year but not more than 50 weeks per year, with the work schedule to be determined upon appointment. The typical season for Big Cypress National Preserve is November - September, but can be variable during these months due to project requirements or weather conditions.

Duties:

• Operates gasoline or diesel powered engineering and construction equipment with wheeled or crawler type traction, such as road graders, tractors with bulldozer or angle dozer blades, front-end loaders, backhoes, wheel loader, trench diggers, and large industrial tractors.
• Operates equipment to push, pull, pile, excavate, backfill, grade, or level earth and/or refuse.
• Uses equipment to perform such functions as cutting, moving, digging, grading, and rolling earth, sand, stone, and other materials, and to maintain ditches, road shoulders and beds.

• On a recurring basis, operates farm type tractors and towed or attached equipment to maintain grounds and roads medians and/or perform farming functions.
• Frequently operates towed or attached equipment from the seat of the tractor through hydraulic or mechanical Controls.
• Equipment operated may include mowers, plows, harrows, chippers, sprayers, disks, post hole diggers and backhoes.
• Make multiple hydraulic and mechanical connections between the towed and or attached equipment and the tractor.
• Incumbent works on level or rolling terrain in such areas as open fields, parks, or along roadways.

• You will review training plans, course outlines, text materials, handouts, class presentation, testing procedures, etc for consistency with course objectives, clarity, continuity education adequacy, and level of comprehension of course participants.
• You will confer with training coordinators and supervisors in identifying training needs.
• You will oversee the coordination of mockup training identified to support waterfront operations.
• You will ensure training programs conform to NAVSEA and local standards and requirements.
• You will identify and resolve training issues with the nuclear production training staffs.
• You will represent the Nuclear Production Training Manager in contacts with other Shipyard training organizations.
• You will conduct studies to correlate test performance.
• You will prepare interpretation of test results and recommendations where results may be significant as guides for action
• You will be responsible for implementation and evaluation of training courses designed to upgrade worker skills.
• You will monitor, evaluate and as required, propose revisions, substitutions or other improvements to training provided to nuclear production personnel.
• You will conduct analyses of test items to determine validity, reliability, degree of item coverage, suitability for intended use, etc.

• You will operate multiple types of hydraulic boom cranes with telescoping and lattice booms to load, unload, move and position heavy material and equipment at various work sites under the following conditions.
• You will operate floating cranes, lattice and hydraulic boom cranes, and cranes of different categories (CAT 1, 2, 3, and 4) to direct the placement, removal, or repositioning of machinery, heavy equipment, hazardous materials, or other loads.
• You will assure safety requirements and housekeeping rules are followed and that personal protective equipment is properly used.
• You will make decision related to critical clearance requirements including recognition of dangerous load situations.
• You will cross train in other positions, perform other related duties as assigned, and provide training/guidance to lower graded Crane Operators as required.
• You will judge capacity of equipment and make lifts in the correct manner to maintain the balance of load and equipment.
• You will perform crane operations requiring precision setting of items where small/close tolerances are allowed, and expensive mechanical parts can be damaged.
• You will perform duties involving the proper handling, containment and disposal of hazardous materials (e.g., paints, solvents, etc.)

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Start, stop, monitor, adjust and repair Chillers and natural gas powered boilers and associated equipment.
• Repair all equipment related to air conditioning such as variable frequency drives (VFD's), piping, plumbing, pumps, motors, fan coil units (FCU), package units, air handling units, duct work and cooling towers.
• Repair and maintain water softeners, water heaters, reverse osmosis systems (RO)
• Must have an understanding of Building Automation Systems (BAS)
• Be familiar with Fire Alarm Control Panels (FACP)
• Accurately maintain preventive maintenance logs for the facilities HVAC systems and equipment.
• Evaluates and performs corrective action for work orders and trouble calls throughout the Healthcare Center.

• You will ensure that quality, timely, and affordable products are delivered in support of the warfighter.
• You will direct the development of comprehensive product plans to ensure fulfillment of quality, schedule, cost, and performance requirements.
• You will establish, monitor, and take corrective action to achieve integrated product team (IPT) goals and objectives and accomplish assigned program requirements.
• You will manage production of assigned product and mitigates product risks that inhibit the achievement of the strategic goals of the organization.
• You will provide direction to all IPT members and to other personnel directly assigned or identified to support the assigned product. You will identify and defend resource requirements (funding, manpower, facilities, etc.).
• You will plan work to be accomplished by IPT and subordinates as well as set and adjust priorities, and oversee the development of schedules for completion of work.
• You will evaluate work performance of subordinates and recommend official performance ratings.
• You will prepare and present oral and written presentations to stakeholders to justify product support and life cycle sustainment strategies.
• You will interface with internal and external contacts in support agency mission and aviation program objectives. You will accomplish other duties as assigned

• You will conduct analysis and evaluation on effectiveness of business activities, strategic planning, human capital plans, administrative, personnel and travel support programs.
• You will ensure regulatory compliance with federal laws and regulations, providing technical guidance regarding human capital or business administrative procedures
• You will be responsible for annual review of Department directives, memos, instructions, etc. to ensure alignment with Record keeping guidance and requirements
• You will provide advice and guidance to ensure understanding and compliance with production program requirements.
• You will support special projects and initiatives and perform special assignments by analyzing facts and perform appropriate research and prepares detailed responses.

Major duties include, but are not limited to:

• Operates a telephone system that handles a full range of telephone calls, including local and long distance.
• Operates the telephone system with a Veterans' Centered Customer Service Approach that connects all customers to their desired request.
• Must be able to del with high volume of phone calls and/or situations simultaneously.
• Remain calm and professional in stressful situations and have quick decision-making skills.
• Greet Customers presenting to the information desk.
• Provide accurate information regarding medical facility including directions to the facility.
• Monitors all Patient Assistance Alarm Boards and Medical Gas Alarm System.
• Report alarms to appropriate personnel for action.
• Makes emergency Announcement using the overhead paging system.
• Report all emergency situations to Police dispatch and supervisor.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

The duties of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Possessing Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with passenger endorsement is required for the position.
• Receiving work assignments and direction regarding work methods, procedures and schedules from either the Transportation Coordinator and/or the Mobility Manager.
• Operates a wheelchair lift and ramp, including the proper use of vehicle device restraint/lock down mechanisms to safely transport wheelchairs, motorized wheelchairs and scooters.
• Arriving at and departing from pickup and discharge points at scheduled times.
• Safely transport patients in a manner that minimizes disruption to personnel and ensure maximum comfort during travel, prevents shock, ensures freedom of breathing.
• Reading installation maps and judges road/traffic conditions to determine the shortest and safest route.
• Enforcing passenger safety and seatbelt use.
• Using multiple variations of Mobile Data Computer (MDC) in and out of the vehicles for assigned trips and duties daily.
• Loading and unloading patients and medical supplies.
• Performing operator maintenance such as checking fluid levels and air pressure in tires, cleaning and washing of vehicles, and performing inspection checklists to ensure safe and proper operation.
• Maintaining records and document actions, such as operator inspection checklists/forms and accident/incident reports.
• Using two-way radios (or other device) to maintain communications with dispatcher/supervisor on assignments and locations.
