Shift & Pay Details:

Monday to Friday - 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM - £12.32 per hour

The Role
Our client manufacturers high quality concrete products for the building industry and they operate several production lines with for different products. Some of the products have reinforced steel in them and these have be prepared before they reach the production line. You will need to have the ability to learn new tasks and operate different equipment adhering to safety rules and regulations to be successful. As the warehouse uses wet concrete it is not a clean environment. You will need to keep your working area clean using 5S principals. Help maintain factory machinery and vehicles. Assist with daily cleaning tasks whilst working safely, following all health and safety guidelines, including proper lifting, wearing PPE, and reporting any equipment defects. Maintain the high quality of products by regularly inspecting them.

The Ideal Candidate
Ideally you will come from a background such as construction, roofing, scaffolding, ground-works or building however other backgrounds will be considered. You will need excellent time keeping and attendance with a self-motivated team focus attitude. The ability to learn about all the machines in the different departments and able to communicate with. The site is tasked to fulfil orders on output so you will need to work as a team to achieve these targets so you will need to work well under pressure.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members, sharing ideas on how to improve production processes. You will need basic numeracy and literacy skills. For the right candidate after training and good attendance the role could become permanent. You will need to be physically fit for this role.

Build and maintain strong relationships with domestic and international suppliers to ensure high-quality standards.
Monitor supplier performance through regular communication, ensuring adherence to agreed-upon standards, timelines, and contracts.
Coordinate with suppliers on the procurement of materials ensuring delivery according to production timelines.

Critical Path

Support the Planning and Sourcing Manager to communicate critical path dates to the production team and suppliers so bulk production is delivered according to the seasonal calendar.
Manage the delivery schedule in accordance with the production planning time line and communicate any issues or delays to key stakeholders across the business.
Oversee tracking and management of goods from supplier to warehouse, analysing and reporting on each critical milestone
Work with the Product Team to ensure bulk production is on track and inform any change on delivery dates to relevant internal departments.
Regularly review internal and supplier processes and implement agreed improvements to improve lead-times and deliveries.
Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, retail, technical, and logistics, to align production schedules with brand needs and activities.
Communicate production delays or issues to relevant stakeholders promptly.

Shipping & Logistics

Continually review shipments each season to ensure all goods are sent via the most cost-effective method possible, within our delivery timeframe and identify areas for saving time or costs.
Review monthly costs submitted by our nominated freight forwarders and identify and propose potential savings. Counter cost where necessary.
Continually review and sign-off freight lead-times and adjustments where needed.
Review and authorise freight invoices.
Oversee shipping and delivery schedules working with Goods-in on bookings ahead of time to avoid bottlenecks at peak times

Analysis & Reporting

Generate and provide regular production status reports to management and other stakeholders.
Ensure all production documentation is organised, accessible, and updated in real time
Maintain accurate records of production schedules, order confirmations, and supplier agreements

Key Requirements

Bachelor's Degree
Proven experience in a manufacturing or supply chain environment, with specific experience in supplier management and planning activities, preferably with apparel / clothing experience.
Strong analytical skills
Proficiency in MS Office applications - Excel essential.
Experience of using spreadsheets for data analysis and reporting.
Functional knowledge of ERP and production management software
Fluency in English is essential.
Excellent verbal/written communication
Excellent time management skills and an open minded approach to work, combined with a strong problem solving
Experience working with international suppliers

We are recruiting Production Operatives to join our client for an immediate start our client who manufacturers building materials.

Shift Rotation & Pay Details:

Gemini
Hours - week 1 - 6.00am - 4.00pm Monday to Thursday,
Hours - week 2 - 4.00pm - 2.00am Monday to Thursday

Pay rate £12.32 per hour + 15% shift allowance (so £14.17 per hour for both shifts).
Overtime available on Friday at X 1.5 and then Saturday and Sunday at X 2.

The role is temporary ongoing with the potential for a permanent role for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

* Work safely, following all health and safety guidelines, including proper lifting, wearing PPE, and reporting any equipment defects..
* Ensure the production of high-quality building products by regularly inspecting for defects and ensuring only quality products go into stock.
* Keep work areas clean and organised using 5S principles.
* Assist with daily cleaning tasks.
* Adhere to environmental policies (ISO 14001) and ensure proper waste disposal.
* Be flexible with tasks and shifts as required to meet production targets.
* Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members, sharing ideas to improve production processes.

Qualifications & Skills:
* Good timekeeping, attendance, and flexibility.
