Position: Production Planning Coordinator

Working Hours: 37-hours per week:Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 4pm Friday 7:30am to 12:30pm

We are now seeking home based Production Planning Coordinator to support planning and administration department for a busy manufacturing company based in Lincoln.

Responsibilities of production planning Coordinator:

• Planning, scheduling and coordinating production.
• Work with the planning team to develop and maintain production schedules to ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Evaluating raw material and all other bill of material requirements to ensure everything is in place to meet production requirements.
• Reporting any issues associated with the plan to the Head of production planning.
• Support customer services where necessary with customer delivery schedules.
• Evaluate production and supplier performance, recommend improvement to any areas which are directly impacting the planning process/performance.
• Resolve scheduling conflicts and adjust production schedules as needed.
• Management of the MRP system and all associated actions.

Responsibilities:

• Experience with MRP systems (Manufacturing Resource Planning)
• Structured approach.
• Good Communication Skills,
• Computer and Data Literate,
• Basic Mathematics combined with Analytical & Logical approach, allowing for flexible methods of working.

We are now seeking home based Production Planning Administrator to support planning administration department for a busy manufacturing company based in Lincoln.

Requirement:

• Launching paperwork to accompany orders being processed through shop floor.
• Make amendments on a manufacturing order waiting to start and already started.
• Liaising with other departments for guidance and instructions on making unique amendments.
• To ensure the latest information is updated on the system and is reflected on paperwork when required.
• Checking completed paperwork, to ensure all information is present and correct prior to being sent for archive scanning.
• Support the planners with execution of the plan.
• Work with daily reports to ensure data on the system is correct and accurate.
• To action drawing and routing amendments as instructed by the Drawing Office. Ensuring the latest information is updated on the system and is reflected on paperwork.
• Carry out quantity deviations on started orders when an order has made more or less than originally planned.
• To carry out investigations into transaction anomalies and correct as required.
• Assist with the annual stock take. Support in the production store area when required with investigating stock issues and correcting systems accordingly.

Requirements:

• Good Communication Skills,
• Computer and Data Literate,
• Basic Mathematics combined with Analytical & Logical approach, allowing for flexible methods of working.
• Prior experience within a manufacturing environment would be a distinct advantage.

The role:

Provide supervision, leadership, planning and guidance to a team to achieve objectives in an efficient and safe manner
Cost control to include time management
Accountable for technical continuous improvement, identification and resolution of daily issues and providing or contributing to solutions
Meet daily targets of production, quality and safety whilst achieving customer on time delivery
Stock control for items within your area of responsibility will be part of your role

About you:

Technical experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience in team leadership/management
Good interpersonal and relationship building skills are essential in this role
Ability to work in a demanding user environment and have strong multi-tasking, prioritisation and planning skills
Make independent decisions, evaluate people and manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment

(£22,687) to (£29,460) per annum depending on experience, plus shift premium


Applicants should be able to read Engineering drawings, use standard measuring equipment and have an understanding of general machining principles, (ideally both manual and CNC).
Tasks will include setting and operating CNC O-D, I-D and Track Grinding machines, editing programmes as necessary, making offsets as required, ensuring parts are manufactured within allotted time and conform to drawing.

The hours for roles are :

Day Shift

Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 16:00pm

Friday 7:30am to 12:30pm

A Shift

Monday to Thursday 6am to 1:35pm

Friday 6am to 12:45pm

B Shift (20% Premium)

Monday to Thursday 1:25pm to 9:05pm

Friday 12:35pm to 7pm
