Your new role
As the Production Planner, you will be reporting to the Production Planning Manager with a dotted reporting line into the Head of Supply Chain. You will be expected to manage the production schedule whilst using their integrated software, SAP. As this role is a linchpin to their operation, you will be expected to manage upwards amongst your peers, think quickly, and adapt to changes within the production facility. You will need to communicate clearly with multiple divisions, including Materials, Sales, Production, Engineering, and Logistics.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in your application for the Production Planner vacancy, you must have proven experience of working as a Production Planner, Materials Scheduler, Demand Planner or a similar role within the Supply Chain. Ideally, you'll have worked with SAP or a similar integrated MRP / ERP system previously. It would be highly advantageous to have worked within the Aerospace supply chain, but this isn't crucial to the success of your application.

What you'll get in return
As the Production Planner, you'll receive 25day annual leave (+8 BH) on top of your salary, which will be between £35,000 and £45,000 (dependent upon your experience). This business offers a great pension scheme, as well as multiple salary sacrifice benefits.

A leading food manufacturer is looking for a Machine Operators / Production Operatives to work on the premises of its modern, automated, and clean site in the centre of Gloucester.

RECRUITING NOW FOR JANUARY 2025 following and assessment in November and induction in December.

PAY: starting at £13.66 flat rate raising to up to £19.58 depending on the role, skills and experience + overtime if applicable

HOURS: Mix of 12 hrs days and nights shifts on a pattern, however you must be fully flexible.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Use appropriate material handling equipment to move product and materials from and to designated locations to support bulk activities in an efficient and safe manner.
* Running machinery/equipment to meet targets
* Quality checking the product
* Collecting data from the line and recording it accurately

* Ensuring the production area meets strict hygiene standards
* Packaging the product

* Conducts and adheres to cleaning and allergen control regimes
* Adheres to all policies and procedures relating to product age and quality.


PERSON SPECIFICATION:

* National school leaver qualifications in Reading and Comprehension, Writing and Mathematics.

The ideal candidate for this role will have some experience in a Manufacturing/Production role, preferably within the food industry however training will be given.

* Applicant must be a committed team worker with a strong sense of responsibility and good attention to detail.

* IT Skills- Must be competent in the use of basic software.
