The Role

• Review engineering drawings, part reports, and procedures to ensure parts are manufactured safely, efficiently, and in line with production standards.
• Create and maintain key production documentation, including assembly and test procedures, work instructions, and routings, under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Manufacturing and Design, to enhance production outcomes and continuously improve the production process.
• Develop standard routings for various modules and product families to streamline costs and lead times.
• Write detailed specifications for the design and procurement of shop tools, and ensure tooling configurations meet project requirements.
• Update user documentation based on findings from the production process to reflect improvements and best practices.

The Candidate

• Previous experience within the manufacturing sector, particularly within Assembly and Test is highly desirable.
• A Degree in Engineering or a related discipline is preferred, though equivalent experience will be considered.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in developing production documentation and routings.
• Excellent organisational skills with a problem-solving mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple projects while adhering to deadlines and adapting to changing priorities.
• Experience with CAD/CAM (NX), PLM systems (TCE), and ERP systems (SAP) is beneficial.

• Assists in starting equipment via touch screen, adjusts and help operate a variety of automatic bindery machines containing multiple functions and station capabilities.
• Assists in combining electro-mechanically with other equipment and devices to produce a complete bindery and finishing unit that processes printed sheets into final books, catalogs, manuals, directories, magazines or other completed products.
• Assists in making needed adjustments to coordinate the multiple workstations on a single machine.
• Observes how to interpret job orders, which may be for one-of-a-kind materials; documents how to plan bindery operations utilizing the most efficient procedures and methods to meet job requirements to complete a combined finishing operation.
• Shadows Bindery Operators in inspecting the work-in-process throughout the manufacturing process of U.S. Passports, Passport related components, Smart Cards, and Smart Card related components.

Starting at $39.82 Per Hour (KB 2)

• Operates straight-in-line trucks, tractors with semi-trailers or full trailers; and/or motor coaches, which typically have an approximate gross vehicle weight of more than 32,000 pounds.
• Connects and disconnects the air brakes and electrical lines.
• Maneuvers vehicles within close tolerance when driving and backing over uneven ground; in narrow or congested areas; between buildings and other vehicles; and when positioning vehicles at loading docks.
• Directs the arranging of cargo or assists in the operation for proper weight distribution and loading/unloading sequence.
• Performs operator maintenance tasks: checks gasoline, oil, water, air pressure, steering gear, horn, brakes, etc.
• Completes trip tickets and fills out reports in case of accident.
• May perform materials handling and packing duties to include receiving, storing, issuing, picking and packing a variety of materials.
• May operate material handling equipment (MHE) such as forklifts to load/unload and move materials.

Major Duties:
On a recurring basis, operates farm-type tractors and towed or attached equipment to maintain grounds and road medians and/or perform farming functions. The incumbent frequently operates towed or attached equipment from the seat of the tractor through hydraulic or mechanical controls.

Equipment operated may include mowers, aerators, plows, harrows, chippers, sprayers, disks, post hole diggers, front-end loading devices, movable dozer blades, and backhoes. Pulls plowing disc, to break dirt crust as needed. May level ground to give an even grade within boundaries as required.

• Serves as Boiler Plant Operator in Charge on designated shift.
• Rotate and adjus.t boilers for maximum efficiency.
• Independently starts, operates, adjusts, and stops single or multiple fuel power boilers fueled by coal, oil, gas, refuse-derived-fuel (RDF), wood, or a combination of these fuels.
• Operates and controls auxiliary pollution control equipment requiring continuous attention to monitor efficiency and control formation of pollutants in accordance with local, state, and Federal pollution control requirements.
• Maintains constant observation of flow meters and charts to determine how much steam is being produced, whether it is meeting or exceeding demands, rate of fuel consumption, etc.
