Due to growing demand, we are looking to expand our team with skilled Earthmoving Plant Operators to contribute to our ongoing success.
Position Overview
We are seeking two experienced Earthmoving Plant Operators to join our dynamic team at PHD Constructions. As an Earthmoving Plant Operator (General), you will be responsible for operating various heavy machinery, including but not limited to excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and graders, to assist with civil and construction projects. You will ensure the safe and efficient operation of plant and equipment while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
• Operate heavy plant and machinery such as excavators, bulldozers, graders, and loaders on construction sites.
• Ensure the safe, efficient, and accurate operation of machinery in line with project requirements.
• Perform pre-start checks and basic maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal functionality.
• Assist in the setup, grading, and excavation of materials in line with project specifications.
• Work collaboratively with supervisors, foremen, and other workers on-site to ensure smooth operations.
• Follow all safety protocols and company procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
• Report any machinery malfunctions, incidents, or hazards to the supervisor immediately.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring that all tools and equipment are safely stored.
Required Qualifications and Experience
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience operating heavy earthmoving plant and machinery.
• Valid operator licenses for relevant machinery, or the ability to obtain them.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and practices in a construction environment.
• Ability to interpret and follow construction plans and site drawings.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
• Willingness to undergo safety training and certifications as required.
Desirable Attributes
• Experience with a range of machinery including but not limited to excavators, dozers, loaders, graders, and backhoes.
• Experience in civil construction or similar industries.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot minor machinery issues.
Salary and Benefits
• Salary: $75,000 to $100,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus superannuation.
• Visa Sponsorship: Available for the right candidate.
