· Design mechanical and electro-mechanical components.
· Integrate mechanical and electro-mechanical components into subsystems and assemblies.
· Perform system packaging and high-level assembly modeling.
· Perform interference analysis, design, and review designs per safety codes.
· Analyse and respond to issues found at supplier or manufacturing sites during manufacturing assembly, integration, and test.
· Develop or modify parametric 3D models and 2D drawings of designs including any mechanical routings as required.
· Perform geometric dimensioning and tolerance with capabilities at a level1 certification level.
· Release drawings and modify drawings using CAD tools.
· Complete other engineering documentation if required concomitant with design release.
· Conduct lab testing / evaluation of components if required.
· Communicate with counterparts in Asia, Europe, and USA on a regular basis for various engineering projects.
· Work with R&D team and identify new innovations and engineering research.
· Create and maintain task calendar outlining engineering projects, results and provide reports as required.
· Advise whether the product has a market demand and provide data analysis.
· Must be able to work independently and in teams, handle multiple tasks and able to work to a high standard in an environment where tight timelines / deadlines are normal course.
