The Senior Production Manager Role:
The Senior Production Manager is responsible for the management of the manufacturing side of UK business as well as being the lead for site H&S matters and managing the facilities and infrastructure. The teams directly managed by the operations manager include H&S, CI, Production, Warehouse and Engineering. This role requires working with other functional heads to ensure compliance with all relevant safety, quality and product legislation as well as delivering the required balance of operational KPIs. The delivery of CAPEX projects as well as contributing to the budgetary process are also included within this role.

The Role - Senior Production Manager:
• Maintain a culture of engagement and involvement at every level
• Oversee daily operations activities
• Co-ordinate appropriate resource allocation to deliver production demands as well as other KPIs, both operational and business wide
• Develop and deliver continuous improvement plans
• Develop and deliver the sitewide CAPEX plan
• Facilitate cross functional working to deliver business objectives
• Develop the operations personnel to ensure high level of competencies and have a succession plan built for all job functions.
• Ensure sitewide adherence to all safety regulations
• To be the site management lead for H&S, setting the H&S culture and agenda to drive the organisation towards a goal of zero accidents.
• Develop and promote Quality and Environmental agenda and culture.
What our client is looking for in a Senior Production Manager:
• FMCG & Lean manufacturing experience – ESSENTIAL
• Must have experience of managing multiple management teams include H&S, CI, Production, Warehouse and Engineering - ESSENTIAL
• Food, Packaging or Pharmaceutical manufacturing experience would be highly – DESIRABLE
• Expertise in manufacturing operations and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Data analysis, budget development, and resource planning.
• Strong reporting skills; comfortable relaying data and information to wider group and board.
• Knowledge of key manufacturing processes and techniques (DMAIC, 5S, PDCA, TPM).
• Familiarity with change management principles and methodologies.
• Ability to engage and inspire teams, leading by example.
• Ability to deal effectively with challenging situations and take accountability for actions.
• Must have excellent communication skills at all levels.
