We are a nationwide Not for Profit Company providing support to adults with Mental Health needs across Blackburn with Darwen. We are seeking a highly motivated individual who has the ability to develop and co-ordinate a stimulating and relevant range of activities for the people we support. You will be developing activities in a collaborative manner ensuring that they meet people’s goals, improve individual’s wellbeing and enhance social inclusion.
You will help form and maintain local connections, support staff to deliver activity sessions, encourage volunteers and develop a vibrant community group offer. We are looking for a caring and dynamic team player to join us, who is flexible and enthusiastic and who can support occasional evening and weekend events where required. You must be a confident communicator and be able to work collaboratively with other professionals and members of the community team. You will work closely with the Project Manager and must be a car driver and able to travel and to support in reach community visits to the people we support. Essential car mileage allowance is provided for this post.
You must be a proactive and creative person with a warm and patient disposition. A genuine interest in working with individuals with mental health needs and individuals who have experienced social isolation is essential as is a commitment to diversity. We are able to fully support your development and training needs through accredited training. We are proud to have achieved a Gold IIP Award for 2023.
We have extensive experience of providing support to people with mental health and other needs. Our services focus on promoting recovery, wellbeing and greater independence. We enable people make progress in these areas by recognising and building on their strengths, coping abilities, social networks and natural support systems.
