Production Operative

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Operative to join a Production team. The Production Operative will be responsible for coordinating and executing daily manufacturing activities within the Production area. The successful candidate will ensure the smooth operation of various manufacturing process equipment, maintain quality standards, and adhere to all policies and procedures to produce finished goods efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and execute daily manufacturing activities within the Production area.
- Set up, operate, control, monitor, and clean various manufacturing process equipment to produce finished goods.
- Maintain Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) quality standards at all times.
- Adhere to 'right first time' documentation standards.
- Highlight and report any processing deviations.
- Ensure compliance by following all policies and procedures.
- Complete planned and necessary maintenance, troubleshooting, and production engineering duties.
- Record precise and accurate information related to manufacturing activities.
- Liaise with the Quality Assurance (QA) department to meet the highest standards possible.
- Ensure thorough cleaning of the working environment.
- Take in deliveries and ensure all equipment is fit for purpose before use.
- Carry out the manufacturing process according to manufacturing instructions to produce finished goods.
- Check stock levels of production materials.
- Ensure the safe storage of all solvents in line with GMP and Health & Safety standards.
- Accurately complete area logbooks as required by Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Conduct regular checks of equipment and machines used during the working day, reporting any faults or defects to maintain business readiness.
- Participate in the Health and Safety Policy of the Company and report any dangers or hazards.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Health & Safety standards.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labour tasks.
- Flexibility to work shifts and overtime as required.
The successful candidate will be supplied with a rota, some days you may be required to be on site from 06:00.
A DBS will be required for this vacancy.
