As a Production Engineer, you will play a key role in the manufacturing process, ensuring the highest quality standards are met while optimising production efficiency. You will work closely with the engineering team to implement modern Systems Engineering concepts and methodologies, utilising metrology equipment and computer-aided design software to deliver precision optics and instrumentation to our esteemed clients.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production engineering, including experience with project costing and planning, knowledge of optical design methodologies, and proficiency in using scientific software and programming languages.
The ideal candidate for the Production Engineer position at Glyndwr Innovations Ltd should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- CNC machining and tool setting experience for upto 5 axis required.
- Machine tooling selection and design experience required.
- Experience and applied knowledge of machining specialist materials specifically glass and ceramic materials.
- CMM machine programming experience including standard G&M coding.
- Applied knowledge of CAD/CAM software packages including Inventor and/or Solidworks.
- A recognised engineering qualification of at least HNC / Foundation degree level.
- Formal CNC, CAD/CAM programing course completion and/or relevent operations experience.
