Intec Automation, Inc., a well-established automation company with over 20 years of business experience, is seeking a dynamic Manufacturing Leader to contribute to our continued growth. Located in Rochester, NH, we specialize in designing and constructing custom automation equipment. In this role, you will collaborate with our Operations Team, enhancing our existing operational methodologies. GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
The Manufacturing Leader is responsible for all aspects of the assembly process within their area to include safety, quality, delivery, and cost. This position requires that the Manufacturing Leader be self-driven, with an attitude to initiate and lead a culture of continuous improvement. Our Manufacturing Leader will be eager to gain an understanding of our culture, business model, goals, and manufacturing supply chain process flow. Ensures assembly data and metrics are accurately developed, collected, analyzed, and reported to drive continuous improvement. The Manufacturing Leader must also be able to positively motivate employees and clearly communicate expectations of each employee and the overall team based on the needs of the Intec business model and monthly/quarterly goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Developing workforce forecasts, implementing overtime optimization tools, monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and overseeing resource planning for facilities and safety initiatives
- Ensure team success in meeting daily production goals and maintaining quality standards, optimizing labor efficiencies, and minimizing rework.
- Implementing succession planning initiatives, provide training, motivation, and mentorship to cultivate employee growth and prepare them for future roles
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the manufacturing team for the efficient execution of custom automation projects.
- Oversee end-to-end project execution, ensuring successful delivery of custom automation solutions within specified timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (engineering, sales, operations) to align project goals with client expectations.
- Act as a key liaison between the organization and clients, understanding unique requirements and delivering tailored solutions.And act as a designee for Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) of equiptment
- Drive innovation by incorporating cutting-edge solutions into equipment design and manufacturing processes, collaborating with the engineering team.
- Strategize and align manufacturing processes with market demands and emerging technologies.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to align manufacturing strategies with overall company objectives.
- Offer direct support and supervision for assembly operations, managing daily schedules, addressing associate concerns, overseeing staffing, and handling aspects such as PTO, sick leaves, overtime, and other related matters.Work with Purchasing and Engineering Leaders to schedule projects according to build schedules, customer needs, and current production load.
- Contribute to the business by adhering to best practices and seeking continuous improvement opportunities, driving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Conduct quarterly/annual performance reviews for individual assemblers, focusing on personal and departmental continuous improvement growth.
- Develop new methods and procedures to optimize efficiencies, maximize labor utilization, and reduce operations costs through continuous improvement plans.
- Collaborate with QA to address scrap parts, engineering design issues, and instill a cultural mindset of in-process quality practices.
- Lead the development, maintenance, and updates of assembly standard work and work instructions, delegating tasks related to daily production schedule modifications.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position will supervise all levels of Electro-Mechanical Assemblers and field service technicians.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:
Four-year certificate from college or technical school; 2 years leadership experience or training; plus 2 years of experience in manufacturing leadership or 4 years of experience in manufacturing or operations environment plus 2 years of leadership experience.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Capital equipment manufacturing experience is required,
Automation experience is preferred.
Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to effectively communicate and practice active listening, when collaborating with assemblers, engineers, and other various departments within our organization.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals, utilizing: Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions given in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
A Moderate amount of time will be spent sitting, some time will be spent walking, and considerable amount of time will be spent standing. Occasional time will be spent lifting weight up to 10 lbs., and minimal time will be spent lifting 25 lbs-50 lbs. Close and color vision is required for the small parts used in assembly and for the distinct color of wiring used in assembly.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
A minimal amount of time will be spent working near moving mechanical parts and with risk of electrical shock. The noise level is expected to be between moderate and loud (air compressors).
