gap personnel are currently recruiting for a Production Manager for their client based near Exeter. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-growing food manufacturer, with a healthcare bias.

The successful candidate will come with BRC and SALSA audit knowledge and lean process application.

Duties, but not limited to:
• Ensuring Health and Safety regulations are met
• Creating a labour plan to match the production schedule
• Working within and applying BRC framework
• Ensuring all quality requirements are met in production
• Deliver on time and in full to the production schedule
• Ensuring that all operators are trained and performing to the required standard
• Ensuring that processes run efficiently and OEE is maximised

The successful candidate will be practical with an engineering bias, be results orientated, resilient, with the ability to lead and motivate a team to deliver on time.
Kaizen and Six Sigma problem solving skills would be an advantage.

Working Hours & Pay:
Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week
£50,000 per annum

Transport required due to location.

Cell Leader Manufacturing

We are currently partnering with a local manufacturer based in the Dorset area. Our client is looking for an experienced Cell Leader Manufacturing to join their fast-paced people orientated business.

The Cell Leader Manufacturing is responsible for the operation of a section within the Manufacturing function, supporting the day-to-day management of the manufacturing area, overseeing a team of technicians, and ensuring an efficient operation in achieving business targets.
This is a role for a quality focused individual with good attention to detail and the ability to work to tight delivery schedules.

Key Responsibilities as Cell Leader Manufacturing

- Provide Leadership and line management to the team, co-ordinating their workloads and providing support to ensure that the team delivers.
- Development of the team by focusing on individual performance and support requirements to achieve high standards, whilst fostering a culture of work safely.
- Supervising and motivating the Production team and leading lean production practices
- Ensuring that the production is efficient and cost effective by assessing total production capacity.

Key experience as Cell Leader Manufacturing

- A good awareness of Health and Safety in an industrial environment is also required.
- Awareness of Manufacturing processes within an engineering environement
- 1 years’ experience of direct first line operational teams in a fast-paced environment
- Degree qualification or relevant recent experience in a similar role within an engineering or manufacturing discipline
