Overtime x1.5 in week and Saturdays x2 Sunday
The client
Our client makes close tolerance, low quantity tooling for the Aerospace, Nuclear & Defence sectors, predominantly anything to help build/strip an Aeroplane or Boat. Materials machined include Standard Steels, Stainless Steel & Aluminium.
They have circa 30 machines on site with a range of Lathes, Mills, Spark & Wire Eroders, all Running off Siemens, Fanuc, Prototrak & Heidenhein.
With massive investment being made into the business over the coming years, they are looking to add a number of skilled machinists as they aim to double capacity.

Key Accountabilities
⦁ Supporting the Production Manager
⦁ Offer support to Manufacturing Engineers to ensure best practise and method of manufacture is achieved.
⦁ Clearly communicating delivery changes
⦁ Working alongside Production Managers & Manufacturing Engineers of all teams to ensure the business operates fluidly.
⦁ Training the wider team to upskill the workforce where possible.
⦁ Make suggestions on the production processes to see if improvements to cost, production pace or quality could be achieved.
⦁ Support any other role with queries they may have about on-going job.
⦁ Ensure all products are manufactured to a high-quality standard.
⦁ Ensuring manufacture is to process & traceability is maintained throughout.
⦁ Resolve technical problems & communicate them clearly.
⦁ Control & monitor good health and safety practise.
⦁ Adhere to company handbook & contract of employment.
⦁ Support of any task to aid production or operation of the business.
Duties
⦁ Manufacturing parts to customer instruction
⦁ Giving guidance on best method of manufacture
⦁ Supporting employees to achieve customer deadlines.
⦁ Communicating between teams to achieve best practise.
⦁ Working with the Production Managers & the central team to ensure the correct information is put on the system internally.
⦁ Ensuring all team members are following the correct process and updating the system.
⦁ Supporting quotations
⦁ Inspecting, Fitting & preparing for dispatch when required
⦁ Giving engineers guidance on material purchasing
