Your new role
As the Operations Manager, you'll be reporting to the General Manager with a team of 6 production supervisors reporting to you, in addition to the 6 supervisors, you will have a team of 8 maintenance engineers reporting to you. You will be expected to support the team by driving performance, coaching and developing them so they can meet their career ambitions. Currently, the business operates in a very reactive way towards maintenance; you will be expected to support the business in transitioning towards a more PPM led schedule.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in your application for the Operations Manager vacancy, you must have a proven track record of managing diverse teams within a manufacturing environment. In addition to this, you will be required to have strong leadership credentials, an understanding of lean / six sigma processes, and the desire to continue with personal / professional growth. Ideally, you will have worked within the Recycling, Energy from Waste (EFW) or a similar heavy industry, however this won't be crucial to the success of your application.

What you'll get in return
As the Operations Manager, you'll be paid an annual salary of up to £55,000. In addition to this salary, you'll be given a variety of internal and external training courses to support your continued development. As a part of the site leadership team, you will also be entitled to their leadership bonus scheme.

Your new role
As the Production Manager, you will be managing a diverse team of supervisors and operators, spanning across a 3-shift pattern. You will be expected to support their development, hold them accountable for manufacturing output and drive KPI performance (including OEE and PPM defects). You will be expected to lead CI initiatives; delivering CapEx investment and conducting root cause analysis to improve future project delivery.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in your application for this Production Manager vacancy, you must have a proven track record of leading diverse teams within a manufacturing facility. In addition to this, the Production Manager role requires you to hold a six-sigma qualification. Your new role
As the Production Manager, you'll be reporting in to the Group Operations Director. You will be expected to take full control of the production facility, supporting in the delivery of KPI targets whilst upholding their H&S standards at all times. You will be managing a 2-shift pattern, so flexibility may be required for out-of-hour calls. You will be direct line managing a team of 8 supervisors with overall responsibility for 70 colleagues. Within this role, you will be expected to take the lead on continuous improvement activities to drive performance and reduce costs where possible.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in your application for this Production Manager role, you'll be required to have worked in a leadership role within a manufacturing facility previously. You will have budgetary experience, and it would be beneficial to have the experience of managing a localised P&L. To further aid your application for the Production Manager vacancy, you will ideally hold a professional qualification in Lean / 6 Sigma, however this will not be considered crucial to your application. Further to this, they require you to have worked within an FMCG or bulk / patch manufacturing process previously.
