The individual in this position must work closely with the management team in achieving objectives; accept full accountability assignments and day-to-day department responsibility; must be a team player; Ensure compliance with all human resource and safety policies food safety sanitation and all other duties as determined by management.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience: Must have general knowledge of production operations and techniques; food safety; product yields and USDA regulations.

Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.

Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills. Bilingual skills helpful.

Travel: Minimal

Supervisory Skills: This person is responsible for supervising a group of team members who perform various production tasks or activities.

Special Skills: Team Leader problem solving and special projects. Other requirements: good attendance and safety record. Extra consideration given to team members with technical skills; must possess skills to complete Tyson paperwork; ability to lead by example and motivate the hourly workforce.

SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for the supervision of Production Supervisors and Team Members for quality safety and any additional assignments deemed appropriate by senior management for this position. Work with department heads to meet production quality yields goals and metrics goals while at the same time ensuring the maintenance of labor standards and quality of performance and product; inspect and maintain a high degree of competence in the areas of housekeeping safety sanitation security and food safety; manage evaluate and train production supervisors; and oversee all designated shift operations and any other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the Operations Manager The individual in this position must work closely with the Senior Leadership team in achieving objectives; accept full accountability assignments and day-to-day department responsibility; must be a team player and demonstrate exemplary people skills. This position will be responsible for covering operations management vacations/absences across various shifts (1st ,2nd, and 3rd). The Senior Supervisor will be required to learn and mange across all production departments. Ensure compliance with all human resource and safety policies food safety sanitation and all other duties as determined by management.

SUMMARY:

This position will supply managerial oversight of the manufacturing facility production function to include control of the production process, accurate record keeping, and general line maintenance and staffing.   This position will be responsible for the daily safety of the associated team.  The position must be able to effectively manage through stressful situations, and consistently make effective data driven decisions.  This position will be responsible for coordinating off-shift allocation of resources to ensure schedule adherence and customer service accountability.  Direct supervision of hourly manufacturing 20 to 35 FTE’s will be required at times.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

• Provide a safe workplace and comply with all safety and regulated programs.
• Ability to make decisions effecting financial and operational performance.
• The critical ability to perform the human relations functions such as training, retaining, and counseling on personal and professional problems.
• Maintain a tracking system that assists in analyzing KPI’s such as safety, schedule adherence, cost analysis, etc.
• Ability to work interdepartmentally and provide functional influence in a group setting to ensure operational goals are achieved.
• Develop and lead peer groups through project initiatives throughout the organization directly related to the operational goals and metrics of the facility.
• Continuous development of operations strategy.
• Identify and communicate process improvement projects.
• Other duties include overseeing various processing operations and working with other supervisors in solving problems and keeping accurate and timely records.  Providing continuous coaching and education on the importance of quality, food safety and compliance standards.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Education: High School Diploma required. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of experience and education preferred.
• Experience: Three years minimum of management/supervision experience in a manufacturing environment, food manufacturing preferred. 
• Communication Skills: Requires strong written and oral communication skills, ability to work independently, and must be results oriented. Bilingual skills helpful.
• Computer Skills: Understanding of financial indicators / analysis and experienced in budget development / management. Basic personnel computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, and Power Point.
• Supervisory Skills: This person is responsible for supervising a group of team members who perform various production tasks or activities.
