The Future Talent Program features internships that last up to 12 weeks and will include one or more projects.  This opportunity within our Manufacturing Division will provide you with hands-on experience in both project and change management, as well as cross-functional collaboration.

The Manufacturing Strategy, Business Development and Alliances (MSBDA) group is responsible for the development and realization of the strategy for the Manufacturing division and oversees the core enterprise manufacturing functions. The team designs, executes, and monitors processes required to deliver on our Manufacturing Division strategic portfolio commitments, as well as, managing business development, strategic alliances, and manufacturing network strategy.  The organization also provides project, program, and change management support for prioritized projects within the divisional portfolio.

The MSBDA intern will support project management and business realization initiatives led by the MSBDA organization. This individual must be a quick learner with the ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This role requires strong problem-solving capabilities, the ability to synthesize complex data into concise, actionable measures, and the ability to make rapid, sound decisions. The candidate must also demonstrate strong partnership and communication skills to enable interfacing with stakeholders.

The MSBDA intern will complete one or more projects over a 10 to 12-week period beginning late May or early June 2024. This experience will provide you with the opportunity to develop your business acumen, as well as provide you with insight into pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Required Education & Skills:

• Candidates must currently be enrolled in a minimum of a BS/BA in: Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Life Sciences, or related disciplines.

• Must be available for a period of 9-12 weeks, beginning June 2024..

Preferred Experience & Skills, candidate should have:

• G.P.A of 3.0 or higher

• Demonstrated ability to quickly learn on the job

• Ability to work both independently and in cross-functional teams

• Proactive and adaptable in navigating ambiguous and complex environments

• Effective problem-solving skills

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral), including the ability to build consensus

• Strong presentation skills, including advanced PowerPoint skills

• Advanced data analytics skills with strong knowledge and experience in Excel or other data analysis tools (ex: Spotfire, Tableau, etc.)

• Strong technical competency and a desire to innovate

• Previous experience in project management and business strategy

Operation Support Specialist (OSS) is part of the Integrated Process Team (IPT) belonging to our Manufacturing Division, where we deliver cost effective medicines and consumer healthcare products to patients around the world every day through innovation, technical and scientific excellence. Our Pharmaceutical network includes professionals at over 40 locations engaged in providing technical support to new product development, manufacturing and supply.

Production Engineering​ (PE) Intern

As part of the Production team in Singapore, the intern will be able to learn the different manufacturing process, operational systems and activities that support pharmaceutical manufacturing. He/she will be expose to the various process, systems and activities associated with cGMP manufacturing operations within IPT.

The PE intern key responsibilities are as follows:

• Assist in the management of cGMP documentation
• Assist in conducting daily tier meetings between operators, engineers and managers
• Collect and analyze operational data to drive productivity
• Work on continuous improvement activities that help to improve the current operation processes and systems
• Actively participate in group meeting discussions and continuous improvement. Collaborate with colleagues whenever possible to achieve both operational and project goals.

Job Requirements:

• Current pursuing a Diploma in a technical field, preferably in a science or engineering.
• Demonstrated capability in application of sound engineering and scientific principles, project management skills and structured / analytical problem-solving techniques
• An excellent team player who is able to readily take on responsibilities and work independently
• Strong interest in working in an engineering and operational environment
• Excellent communication and facilitation skills
• Have a positive, proactive, can-do attitude
• Keen to learn

We are looking for an Stack Manufacturing Operations Intern to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies. This role will report to our Director of Quality Management and based on-site.

Location: This position will be based in Fremont, California

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Standardize new and existing processes within the “exception handling” system
• Perform Pareto analyses to identify root causes in processes
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment efficiency through the “exception handling” system
• Conduct risk assessment of “exception handling” process
• Clearly document “exception handling” process and develop training resources

Skills and Experience:

• Working knowledge of PC business software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Highly motivated and a self-starter
• Strong oral and written communication skills 
• Must demonstrate a bias for action and implementation
• Proven and demonstrated teamwork skills
• You are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Civil Engineering, or any other relevant engineering disciplines. And you are successfully maintaining an above average GPA, preferably 3.0 or higher.
• This internship is scheduled to begin June 2024 and end on approximately August 2024.
