THE ROLE

The position is an Operator. You will support the business by machine operating ensuring that all materials are produced to standard. Some of your duties will include:

- Operating machines to manipulate metal housings for electrical items (Brake Press, CNC ETC)

- You will also carry out spot welding of the above items

- By carrying out these duties you will be completing finished goods such as fire alarms, or other electronic/digital solutions

- You will adhere to KPI's set by your line leader or team manager in order to achieve business targets

- Carry out any other reasonable task requested by your line leader or team leader

- You will also assemble components and assist with the production team

THE PERSON

You will be required to work with minimum supervision, adopting a positive and proactive approach to ensure the business achieves it's KPI's and related targets. An excellent attitude is required for this role as there is an opportunity for you to be offered permanent employment.

- Suitable candidates must have an excellent can-do attitude

- The person will work to set KPI's and other related targets the business may set

- You must be willing to undertake any training required for the role

- Previous experience of working shift rotations is desirable

- You will demonstrate a good eye for detail and show good manual dexterity

- Experience working in electrical assembly is advantageous but not essential as training will be provided

THE PACKAGE

- Daily 8-hour shifts working 5 days a week from Monday to Friday

- 2 shift weekly rotation of: Mon to Fri 06:00 - 14:00

- Additional benefits will be available directly from the employer should your role go permanent

- Position is Full time ongoing, so Students should not apply

You will be Identifying, reporting, and recording anything suspicious. Operating the cameras and equipment effectively, making sure the best evidential quality images are recorded. You will be required to write reports or witness statements and attend court, to give evidence supporting the CCTV images. You should be confident in liaising with external and internal agencies such as DWP, National Crime Agency and other investigatory bodies. Full training will be provided. We work on a shift basis, including evening and weekends, so flexibility for the role is key. Full manual UK driving licence is essential along with great customer service skills and the ability to write reports. The role of the Shift Worker Switchboard Operator is to deal with internal and external callers, and to transfer calls to appropriate departments and staff efficiently.

The post-holder will be required to manage general callers enquiries in a polite and calm manner. You will also be responsible for processing emergency calls and various alarms.

The role is suitable for an individual that can work alone after being fully trained.

Candidates will be fully supported during the training period and will shadow a current shift worker for part of the training period

Key Duties:
• To answer calls into switchboard and direct call to the appropriate departments and staff, and to deal callers general enquiries.

Other shifts will involve relieving your counterpart lone shift worker.
