QUALIFICATIONS
Must be 18 years of age and have a HS Diploma or equivalent.  Must be willing to learn team skills and work in a team environment.  Daily routine requires being on your feet nearly 100% of the time, walking, and standing, stooping, or bending.  Must be able to lift, push and pull to remove extinguishers along the assembly line and pack extinguishers where average to heavy weight is involved.  Must be able to read, write, and understand simple math and work from blueprints.

DUTIES

Fill Equipment

• Monitors equipment and controls of Fill and Material Handling System; monitors inputs (air dryer, compressor, chemical flow, vacuum pressure, etc.) and makes the appropriate system adjustments.
• Inspects product and records results per First Article Instructions and/or Work Instructions if required; makes appropriate system adjustments as a result of the inspection process.
• Maintains equipment (vacuums equipment and area, cleans fill heads, etc. performs required Preventative Maintenance, etc.) per Work Instructions.
• Changes over equipment for various model shells (units) and chemicals.
• Reworks rejected units and returns them to the system.

Pre-Test Equipment

• Manually loads/unloads units to the conveyors in the event of a Material Handling equipment breakdown.
• Occasionally performs material handling duties (restocking parts, removing pallets, etc.).
• Monitor and operate valve assembly and insertion robots.
• Monitors equipment and controls of the auto torquing station (cycle times, torque parameters, etc.); manually verifies the torque of the head assembly per Work Instructions.
• Monitors the Torque "Gaping" station and makes the necessary system adjustment to system.
• Monitors equipment and controls of the automatic Gassing station.
• Monitors gas mixture equipment and changes gas cylinder (banks) when required.
• Manually inserts Ring Pins into units.
• Manually assembles the Safety Tie.
• Verifies the pull force of the Safety Seal per Work Instructions.
• Monitors material handling system.
• Inspects product and records results per First Article Instructions and/or Work Instructions if required; makes appropriate system adjustments as a result of the inspection process.
• Maintains equipment per Work Instructions and makes appropriate system adjustments.
• Changes over equipment for various model shells (units).
• Restocks product component parts (Head Assemblies, Ring Pins, etc.) when required.
• Reworks rejected units and returns them to the system.
• Manually loads/unloads units onto/off the conveyor in the event of a Material Handling equipment breakdown.

Mass Spectrometer

• Monitors equipment and controls of the Mass Spectrometer and handles rejected shells accordingly.
• Monitors oil levels.
• Monitors the Labeler equipment.
• Maintains equipment and tools per Work Instructions.
• Changes over equipment for various models.
• Inspects shells (critical dimensions, visual checks) and records results per First Article Instructions and/or Work Instructions if required; makes appropriate system adjustments as a result of the inspection process.
• Manually loads/unloads units onto/off of the conveyor in the event of a Material Handling equipment breakdown.
• Occasionally performs material handling duties (restocking parts, removing pallets, etc.).

Packaging System

• Monitors equipment and controls of Packaging Machine, Print and Apply Labeler, Palletizing Machine, and Stretch Wrap Machine.
• Manually places literature and hanger hook into cartons.
• Maintains equipment performs required Preventative Maintenance per Work Instructions.
• Changes over equipment for various models.
• Inspects un-cartoned and packaged units and records results per First Article Instructions and/or Work Instructions if required; makes appropriate system adjustments as a result of the inspection process.
• Manually loads/unloads units onto/off of the conveyor in the event of a Material Handling equipment breakdown.
• Occasionally performs material handling duties (restocking parts, removing pallets, etc.).

Other (as needed)

• Performs miscellaneous related duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
• Supporting the training and development of peers within the organization.

About the role

As a Utility Operator, you will be responsible to perform a variety of operational tasks safely and efficiently in a fast-paced and dynamic industrial environment to support Covanta’s industrial disposal process.

Position Responsibilities:

• Responsible to ensure equipment is appropriately charged for effective operation, as well as maintain the refuse fuel levels in boiler hoppers and industrial equipment
• Mix and level refuse in the industrial pit
• Load ash using various types of industrial equipment
• Supervise and observe delivery trucks hauling materials to the tipping floor
• Safely operate front end loaders to manage refuse and materials delivered to tipping floor for processing
• Inspect delivered refuse, waste, and materials, and determine appropriate process for disposal
• Monitor and control inbound/outbound traffic for delivery trucks

About the role

Under the direct supervision of the Process Plant Shift Supervisor and general supervision of the Process Plant Operations Superintendent and the Facility Operations & Maintenance Manager, the Loader Operator is responsible for the safe, environmentally sound and efficient daily operation of various heavy equipment in maintaining a steady flow of municipal solid waste (MSW) from the tipping floor to the process line.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Operates equipment in movement of MSW on tipping floor and loading MSW onto the RDF process lines, maintaining a steady flow of MSW to the process operation.

· Performs daily routine inspections of assigned equipment and fills out necessary log sheets according to procedures.

· Performs troubleshooting on equipment and reports all malfunctioning equipment through the issuance of work orders.

· Performs checks as required by the weekly activities book, the monthly critical items check list, etc.

· Maintains proper fuel, lubricant and oil levels for operation of assigned equipment.

· Performs lockout and tagout of equipment in support of maintenance activities.

· Maintains cleanliness of equipment and an orderly work area.

· Operates the OBW process system as directed.

· Performs additional tasks as directed by the Shift Supervisor, or his or her designee.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

· Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent.

· Preferred experience in operating of heavy equipment

· Must be able to pass respirator fit testing on a daily basis

Summary

The Planner schedules work in accordance with the program schedule.  Deciphers engineering drawings, engineering release notices and engineering orders to determine proper action such as requesting parts through material planning as needed and building parts in the shops.  Assures schedule adherence and program priorities by having both purchased parts and build parts arrive in time to meet the program schedule.  Provides project support to department managers, group leaders, and staff of Hardware Integration and Deployment. Maintains communication with program management, project technicians, production coordinators/planners, material planning, and support departments (such as Mechanical and Electrical Deployment) to monitor the status of product delivery.  Might assist other planners in resolving problems with late deliveries and recovery plans for projects.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to access all areas of the production floor to conduct audits and inspections; fixed ladders stairs steps etc. able to tolerate environmental conditions in the area of responsibility; the temperature in most of the areas range from 28 - 45 degrees.

Special Skills: Team leader problem solving and motivation to take on special projects.

What You Will Achieve

Responsible for planning and coordinating various Manufacturing activities with Process Engineers, Supervisors, and Managers involving multiple site Manufacturing departments.

Duties include managing Manufacturing cGMP documentation system, planning and scheduling batch/buffer activities to support multiple clinical/commercial Manufacturing operations, project manage special projects and manage cGMP sampling plans to support clinical/ commercial programs, products, and projects. Acts as a department liaison between Quality Assurance (QA), Technical Operations, and Site Engineering and Maintenance in planning of batch/buffer preparation, managing cGMP documentation, creation and management of cGMP sampling plans, and equipment maintenance activities involving multiple Manufacturing departments.  Proficient at maintaining Manufacturing inventory for consumable items and orders essential non-standard production items using Pfizer enterprise systems.

How You Will Achieve It

• Lead and manage batch/buffer preparation activities to support clinical/commercial Manufacturing involving multiple areas/products. 

• Utilize automated systems to plan and monitor production activities (LIMS, Delta V, MES, SAP). 

• Interface with management and team leads across Manufacturing departments and Technical Operations to optimize Manufacturing operations schedule based on upstream/downstream processing requirements, equipment, and staffing constraints.

• Re-prioritize and schedule production activities when unplanned disruptions occur in 24x7 operations. 

• Decisions must be timely and minimize disruptions to multiple clinical and commercial biologics production areas with limited/shared resources.

• In addition, responsible to lead/facilitate the weekly production planning meeting to ensure the day to day operational plan is communicated and successfully executed. 

• Proactively identify and escalate to senior management unplanned programs and projects that disrupt planned production activities in multiple vaccine programs.

• Coordinate the issuance, tracking, and review of batch records and other controlled documents to ensure target product-based cycle times are met.  Complete batch scaling calculations in master batch records and author cGMP documents as required to meet plan of record.  Strong understanding of cGMPs to assist in the review of Manufacturing records for completeness and accuracy.  Support programs and projects that require Manufacturing input/resources. 

• Prepare and place purchase orders for supplies and materials necessary for Manufacturing.  Resolve invoice, receiving problems, and expediting of orders.  Manage and optimize IMEx systems that impact consumables/disposables required for clinical and commercial Manufacturing operations. 

• Lead and manage projects and programs that impact production plan of record as assigned by management.  Upon assignment of the project/objective, develop an action plan/schedule, present updates, implement, and verify achievement of project objective.

• Train and develop new Manufacturing Planners in area of expertise. Demonstrate proficiency in other Manufacturing areas to backfill and support based on business needs.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• Applicant must have HS Diploma with 6 years of relevant experience; OR an Associate's degree with 4 years of experience; OR a Bachelor's degree with 0-2 years of experience

• Experience with quality records (i.e., batch records, procedures, forms, etc.)
