Production Studio Director

OVERVIEW

Brunswick Corporation is seeking a Production Studio Director to join our Creative Center of Excellence. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the production of a growing global studio of technical creative subject matter experts—including talent like production artists, video producers, video editors and packaging designers—to produce creative assets at scale—while ensuring quality standards are met, for our Brunswick divisions and brands.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manages the production of a high-volume studio; including overseeing project resourcing, production schedules, budget, workflows/process, reporting, vendor management and equipment to ensure on-time deliverables
• Establishes and leads operational best practices within the studio, as well as with internal and external partners, ensuring optimal efficiency and proper resource utilization
• Develops and mentors a team of highly technical talent that can work agilely across many projects and brands
• Acts as a key communicator for the Creative Studio team and keeps all relevant stakeholders apprised of production details
• Helps bridge the gap between creative concepting and production by ensuring the right resources are in place to bring the creative idea to life
• Develops the Studio’s ecosystem: including management of the Digital Asset Manager (DAM), proofing tool(s), server, file-sharing, production vendor management etc
• Responsible for ensuring production quality standards are being met and overseeing asset management/governance
• Manages the master production calendars across the Enterprise to ensure production efficiencies, cross-brand collaboration, governance and cost controls are in place
• Collaborates with creative leadership and performance marketing to ensure creative outputs meet creative direction and performance marketing best practices
• Responsible for developing scalable and agile content creation processes to help build deliverables for content and performance marketing needs
• Build a production studio capability from the ground up; including priorities like identifying tools, resources and studio location needs
• Responsible for maximizing productivity of the studio team across our business units through working closely with Creative Operations to assign resources based on projects and workloads

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience managing budgets, assigning, and monitoring work, and developing plans in alignment with organizational strategy
• Experience building a preferred vendor ecosystem to deliver assets within tight managed budgets and developing internal teams to drive efficiencies to deliver on the ask and beyond
• Experience building production capabilities and working in a fast-paced, matrix organization to establish prioritization that meet global business objectives
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively across different stakeholder groups

• Expertise with production process and terminology
• Pragmatic problem solving capabilities

• Initiate and drive CIPs (Continuous Improvement Programs) for the product where appropriate

  Technical improvement, reliability, commonality, NSR (Non Standard Request) reduction, option reduction etc.

  Release Hardware CIP (Continuous Improvement Program) and options to structure tree

• Owns common modules roadmap and implementation post Phase 5 of ePLC.

• Implementation of component roadmaps including part obsolescence, replacements, alternative vendors and cost reduction

• Facilitates intercompany communication to align on product strategies, provide guidance on pricing, spare level contents, and restricted part orders. Facilitates alignment meeting for product roadmap and market proliferation

• Support or Lead as necessary effort and coordination between various intercompany groups (such as operations, Engineering and GPM) to achieve divisional cost targets and improve operational metrics for reduction in Build cycle time, Period, Burden and Variance

• Relook at our Product Structure and Mfg. strategy 

• Division support for product prioritization and resource allocation (Quarterly budgets, Finance and CTO office Portfolio Management)

• Manage strategic vendor issues

• Manage all changes to the product after product release

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. Job Description:

Pacific Life is embarking on a transformative journey towards adopting a holistic Product Operating Model. We are seeking an exceptional expert leader in all things Product who will not only be a Lean-Agile expert but will also be instrumental in reshaping all facets of the operating model. This role goes far beyond Agile methodologies; it encompasses the entire spectrum of operational aspects, including funding, governance, talent, strategy, vendor and partnership management, performance management, portfolio governance, tooling, and ways of working.

As the Director, Product Delivery Enablement you will be responsible for orchestrating a paradigm shift within our organization. This entails moving from traditional project-based approaches to incremental product delivery with the intent to deliver value sooner, more affordably, at scale, and as one team across business and technology. Your role will span all facets of the operating model, touching on Talent, Strategy, Vendor and Partnership Management, Shared Services (e.g., Enterprise Architecture, DevSecOps, Data, Infrastructure, etc.), Tooling, Performance Management, Portfolio Governance, and Ways of Working.

How you will make an impact:

• Establish and lead an internal consultancy dedicated to the Product Operating Model, encompassing its key capabilities. This consultancy will serve as the go-to authority on product-related matters, from defining products to flow work through the system to ? .
• Build and lead a high-performance team of coaches and consultants dedicated to driving and stabilizing new deployments and coaching existing deployments for continuous improvement, new ways of working, and product enablement.
• Develop, and applies a diagnostic framework to assess the maturity and effectiveness of various components of the Product Operating Model. Work closely with internal clients to build tailored transformational plans rooted in a standard op model playbook.  
• Collaborate closely with an external consultant to develop a playbook for our Product Operating Modeland set the stage for successful implementation.
• Take a hands-on role in leading deployments of product pilots, referred to as "Frontrunners." These pilot initiatives encompass both product and platform areas. Guide and steer these pilots towards successful adoption of the Product Operating Model, providing mentorship, insights, and direction.
• Ensure that all supporting capabilities, including enterprise architecture, DevOps, cloud, enablement, cybersecurity, and data management, are seamlessly integrated with the Product Operating Model Take ownership of building  strong partnerships with executives and teams across the organization to identify and deploy aspects of the Product Operating Model.
• Partner with vendor management and internal and external partners to curate engagement and performance models to integrate and enable the Product Operating Model.  
• Collaborate with the finance to operationalize Product financial management. Establish patterns around strategy-aligned funding allocation, capacity management and allocation, capacity management, financial reporting, etc.
• Establish and apply talent assessments and development frameworks to enable our people effective work in a new operating model.
