Our client is seeking an experienced Assistant Production Manager to lead a dynamic team of assembly operators. The successful candidate will have a solid background in factory assembly operations and a strong understanding of LEAN manufacturing principles. This role requires a hands-on leader who is passionate about continuous product improvement and driving operational excellence. Performance incentives will be provided for exceeding key production targets.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of assembly operators, ensuring production goals and timelines are met.
- Oversee day-to-day factory operations, maintaining high standards of efficiency and product quality.
- Implement and promote LEAN manufacturing processes to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Identify opportunities for product improvement and actively contribute to problem-solving and process optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth workflow and address any production-related issues.
- Monitor team performance and provide coaching to assembly operators to ensure high-quality output.
- Uphold safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for all production staff.
- Develop strategies to meet and exceed key performance indicators, with incentives tied to production targets.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a factory production environment, with a focus on assembly operations.
- Strong leadership skills, with experience managing teams of assembly operators.
- Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing processes and product improvement methodologies.
- Ability to lead by example, motivating team members to achieve operational excellence.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing production challenges.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to ensure efficient workflow.
- Prior experience working with performance-based incentives is an advantage.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
