- Plan and organize business activities such as business missions, networking events, webinars, seminars and conferences and facilitate the formation of Singapore companies’ participation in local and overseas trade fairs, missions, and workshops. This includes preparation and/or obtaining approval for paperwork such as event budget forms, purchase requisitions, booking form, and agreements.
- Evaluate and measure the effectiveness of the business activities held through post-event surveys and closed event budget forms variances.
- Develop and share in-country networks and insights by establishing country-specific networks to support members who are considering expanding into these countries.
- Provide Secretariat support to the Global Business Groups Function Committee including preparation of meeting reports, presentation materials, etc.
- Assist Senior Manager and HOD with the annual budgeting exercise.
- Ensure proper documentation and adherence to SMF’s policies and audit requirements.
- Evaluate potential opportunities and negotiate with sponsors and stakeholders to ensure alignment with SMF’s strategies and policies.
- Stakeholder management to ensure smooth delivery of planned business activities.
- Produce write-ups and marketing collaterals and work with Corporate Communications to ensure key events are being featured in SMF’s annual report, E-Connect, and social media.
- Travel overseas for business missions and trade fairs that are under your care.
- Any other tasks that may be assigned by Management from time to time to achieve the SMF’s mission and vision, as well as the departmental objectives which include assisting members to penetrate into overseas markets and expand business globally.
Requirement
- A minimum of 4 years of working experience in project management, marketing, business development, event planning, and execution.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proactive, collaborative, has a sense of urgency, and able to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- Fluency in Chinese would be an advantage to support the China market.
- Willing to travel.
