JOB TITLE: Auto Mail Operator
REPORTS TO Senior Operator
JOB LOCATION Wymondham, Abbey View Site
SALARY: £27,535.51 including 15% shift allowance
HOURS: Week 1 – Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, contracted
hours, working 7.00am to 7.00pm, working 11 hours per shift.
Week 2 – Monday and Tuesday, working 7.00am to 7.00pm, working 11
hours per shift.
Total = 80.5 = Average = 40.25 per week

OVERVIEW &PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Working as part of a team in a Production environment, you will
undertake the operating of various equipment. This could include various
Bluecrest auto fulfilment machines and Bluecrest sortation machines. This
fulfilment will be undertaken in accordance to established job
specifications and procedures. The job is a physical job, and you will be
required to be on your feet all shifts.You may also be required to obtain and return stock from various locations a cross the production floor as well as supporting other Operators when required. You will need to adhere to quality and output targets and must also show an all-round willingness to complete other tasks as requested.
Basic PC skills will also be required for various MI tasks such as Recording
job run details, booking jobs off to agreed dispatch methods and stock requests.

Your main duties will include:
As a warehouse operator, your main duties would include:
· Loading and unloading goods from vehicles
· Moving stocks and items of mail packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facility
· Stacking goods in the correct storage bays, following stock control instructions, checking loads are secure
· Stacking empty pallets
· Performing daily equipment checks, for example recharging the truck's battery, helping to load and unload trucks by hand where necessary performing other warehouse tasks like picking stock and moving it to the appropriate location on factory floor and dealing with stock returns.
· Other tasks can include collecting full bin which can range up to 660L sized bins and moving these to our goods yard to dispose of.
· Disposing of waste can include bailing shredded paper waste or compacting.
· Basic PC skills will also be required.
· Ensure you comply with all health and safety procedures in line with our policies

Job Description
This is a hands-on position which may require some mechanical knowledge and a good level of computer literacy relating to the use of Excel, Word and various other systems.

The operator is responsible for their overall performance against set objectives and rates of efficiency. Examples of operator tasks include receipt and security screening of mail, preparation and imaging of paper documents, indexing of electronic documents, archiving and helpdesk/query management.

In addition, operators are measured for quality of work and performance against Service Level Agreements. At times this role may also include an element of supervision.

Operators must show an all-round ability and willingness to complete a range of other tasks when required.

Basic PC skills will also be required for duties such as managing print queues, booking work in, undertaking reprints and despatching of work.

The job is a physical job and you will be required to be on your feet all shift operating machinery, after full training has been given. You will need to adhere to quality and output targets, and must also show an all-round willingness to complete other tasks as requested.
